I discovered colour changing ground. Where it switches colours every time you cross a transition or reload the level and it's actually fairly simple (well, for me, the complexity freak).

But I hope you don't mind if I give a proper example after the 24th LDC because of my entry. Then again you'll probably see it in there when it's completed.
It's not really much a shock if you played Science War. :3 If not, well, I think you might find it kewl..?

It is the book block, yep.

Like I said, pretty obvious and simple if you played Science War because pretty much all the ground on the planets were made of colourful blocks but sized reeeeeeally big.

I still think it's a pretty kewl invention. I hope I'm the first to discover/use it.

It isn't fair. I would have guessed correctly if I paid attention to the words "switching colors" and "transitions." DX
Damn. That really is pretty obvious. XD




I hope I was the first to solve the ages-old glitch that makes enemy and breakable block coins noncollectable. :3

I can't believe it was as simple as shifting the level transitions (and in some cases, coins.) backward & together somewhere in the level code. :lol:


...But why would transitions and stray coins being closer to the end of the level code do that to "reveal-able" coins in the first place? Any ideas why?



EDIT: Why didn't I mention this yet?: Because we now know why coins sometimes end up being noncollectable, we could exploit this and potentially make daredevil runs with any enemy existing, because we could make their coins impossible to collect and therefore expand upon the challenges. :mrgreen:

All you need to do is find the item in the code (Ctrl + F will help if you know what you're looking for) and then place a 0 in front of the very first number. The instructions should be a lot clearer in the tutorial thread tbh.

EDIT: I was looking at the tutorial thread and I want to catch a screenshot while playing my level but the tutorial seemed a bit confusing and didn't explain alot for me. Can someone help?

1. Press Print Screen
2. Open up Paint
3. Paste it in there
4. Resize the picture if you want
5. Upload the pic to a photo sharing website like imgur
6. Paste the url in runouw in [img] tags
7. Fly to the sky


That's how I got the picture in my sig.
I got Mario to jump,then I followed the intstructions above.

These levels were from my unfinished levels.

EDIT: I JUST FOUND OUT A STRANGE GLITCH. If you seem to change a moving arrow's angle the angle will either 1. Jump 180 degrees to the clockwise angle or 2. turn into NAN, causing you to add a new one, since NAN is different to the graphic and NAN is 0 degrees.

Thats all I found out!
