Secret backrounds

yeh it kind off explains itself however.

Do the following to make sure you get the backround.

First of!
Some of the backrounds doesn't change. As an example of wich does : Volcanoe,desert,hills an sea.

Now go and change the wide to over 200 or something alike that.

Then check it out !

-Level transitions-
However,Level transitions may cause problem to this. Why?
Cause the level transitions share like part of the image. Uhh well it resets makes the secret backround dissapear if u have the level transitions to close eachother.

yeh...
so if u want to use level transitions and have the backround. Just make the level wider.

That not enough, we need to teleport, how? Use a certain (Random) speed to smash (Hold down and -->, right.)to the tile then you 'll get teleport to the top randomly.

Sorry, it's been a while since I checked in on this, but them's the breaks. The argument seemed to drop and not resolve, so...

I technically agree with nin10mode, and think that they should be made public, most of all to keep the "Hey I just discovered this glitch" levels down. Also, I was going to put much information in my guide on how to make a good level, including discouraging use/abuse of glitches. I'm going to be working the Wiki into my guide as well as selected threads here on the forum. I will let you guys know how that is going. I have the first 2 sections just about done. I will make a thread for it when the time comes.

Also, in the mean time, this thread should be stickied. I believe that it more than qualifies as useful and important.

The last one.

If you delete the shine, and let a bullet bill hit you, it won't stop. BUT, if you ground pound Mario go's back to normal! I gotta use this trick for a level...

TUTORIAL FOR DIS GLITCH!

The last one tutorial.

Ok, so put a Sling Star Upside down and "-99"

Go as far up as you want and put a Moving platform.

Set the Right/left option OFF.

Next, go to the first thing that comes up on up/down.

Set the top option to "N"

The rest of the stuff, put "999"
(Including touch and go)

Now, set a moving block.

Set speed to 2. (lolwut)

Set length to "151"

Now, even the block out with the Moving platform so it goes two tiles ahead.

Finnaly, put a roof on it using anytile.

The up/down distance is 1 tile.

If all angled right, when you go in the sling star,

If you wan it to stop, heres what to do:

Put an enemy (Mostly koopa) on 1 tile.

If Mario get's hurt, press Z and he'll go back to normal!

Okay, I've discovered a glitch, which I have named

The Sign of Death
It's a tricky one to pull off, and has happened to me multiple times. Also, if this glitch has been found already, just say the word.

Anyways, the idea is to read a sign right at the moment you come in contact with an enemy (it was a goomba for me). If the timing is just right, Mario will die instantly.

I can not say it get discovered or not. I know this. Well, it is quite same like the getting red conis or sliver star's glitch.
