Perhaps. I mean, the idea came from thinking back to the Unfinished Level contest(I need to play my submission....), and that one was pretty interesting.

What about 3D? Like, tower levels maybe for example, where you have to go around and around, and use the looped level glitch via transition?

That is literally the most technical theme you could think of. There is absolutely no way this would work for a contest.

I think Ice Castle is a little bit too strict. Peharps we could create two different themes, like Ice and Castle? (I believe we already had Castle tho)

But the 25th LDC had a combination of both a Castle theme and a Fire/Ice theme, so in a way this has already been done.
The below image is a montage of my individual highest placing LDC creations, as a reminder to myself that level designing is a part of my life that I can't just leave behind
