I just had a great idea for an LDC. What we do is, we run it like any other LDC, but instead of making levels in Super Mario 63, the contestants have to make levels in Last Legacy. Sound good?

I agree to that.

Problem with that is only the people who understand LL's physics and triggers could actually do anything monumental in terms of a contest.

Because I sure as hell can't make sense of it.

Maybe a good theme would be Countryside. Not necessarily a cultural level, but rural areas that still seem like they'd be on Planet Earth, but with a Mario spin to them. Fields, mountains, villages, stuff like that. Sort of nature but not quite.

It does NOT take tons of triggers to make the level better than any other level. But this is the SM63 forum and this is not the place for that so if you want to carry on the discussion bring it to the ll subforum (or the forum itself i guess???)

I actually kinda like the idea, but it's so similar to many past themes. Themes like these are probably gonna have to be used in times where we literally have no other option, but atm there are still quite a lot of options open.

I have a few ideas.

Lost Temple
Frozen Beach
Rogue District
Luigi's New Mansion
Mario's Dragon

Mario's Dragon? That sounds weird.

I feel like a lot of suggestions miss that for successful LDCs you want something distinct and relatively unique if you can manage, but also open ended enough to allow creativity so we don't get four entrants.
