Ok, after much consideration, I've come up with four subgroups, each one responsible for a different aspect of the level. As of now, you can submit your name for any one of these groups:

Tilework:
The "meat" of the level. This subgroup will be responsible mainly for the landscaping. You know, making the castles, lakes, cliffsides, that kind of thing. It should be made with an appropriate, theme-based tileset, and avoid cutoff. Try to spice it up by making plateaus, cliffsides, floating islands, etc. This subgroup will work on the level first.

Enemy/Item Placement:
Exactly what the name says. This subgroup will be in charge of placing enemies and items such as coins, FLUDDs, and water. It should be hard enough to be a challenge, but please refrain from spamming enemies. This group will work on the level second.

Graphics:
A level should look nice too, and this subgroup will handle all the aesthetic work. They will be responsible for placing decorative touches like plants and rocks, and well as choosing the background. This group will also be responsible for ensuring the tilework looks nice (in other words, no cutoff). This group will work on the level last.

Fun:
Finally, the last subgroup will be responsible for all the nifty little tricks and glitches to be included in the level. They can add things like sidepaths that lead to secrets, etc. They will also be responsible for making sure the level is possible. Finally, (and this part is optional) they may add a story to the level if they want. Because of the tricky nature of this job, they will work on it continuously throughout.

Simply drop a post here with what group you'd like to be in. Remember, play to your strengths. If you're great with making a level look good, go with Tilework or Graphics. If you're an expert at code manipulation, you'd probably be best suited for Fun, where all the glitches come into play.

Finally, an adequate system for actually sharing the level. Right now, PM seems to be the way to go. To avoid spamming inboxes, please do not send the level code to everyone involved. Send it only to your group members, and maybe me (I don't mind having mine spammed ). After each group is done, I'll paste the level code here, so that the next group can work on it.

Lastly (for real this time), if there's anything I missed, or you have a better suggestion, I'd be glad to hear it. Just PM me, and I'll fix it immediately.

Honestly, the whole "tryout/sample" thing was intended to make sure that there wasn't a horrifyingly large number of people all working on the same stage. Creativity is boundless, but that lack of bounds makes successful teamwork a whole lot harder. The idea didn't really take off as much as I had hoped; as a result the whole thing was unnecessary and everyone got in.

@ Megaboy: I hope you don't mind, I've placed you into Item Placement. Not only are you good at it, but nobody else has volunteered for it yet. If you really don't want to though, I can change it around.

If you want to join, an exception could possibly be made. I don't think that adding one more person will result in a complete breakdown of order.

Based off that comment, I'm assuming nobody has any objections to Mr_SaxMan joining? AS a side note, I also removed all the joke entries now that it's seriously started.

Edit: RedLink has dropped out, so you can join for sure. I'll add you right now.
