Different background for different sections- possible?

Is it possible to have a different background for a different section in a SM63 level?

For example, I'm making a level where you board a ship, then travel to a different location. However, I don't want the fire location I chose to be seen in the background.

Is there some way I can have a different background whenever I want a new section?

This has been asked before and answered. So, no you can't. You would have to create a level with two or more parts to do this.
