Boss walkthrough
Posted: August 29th, 2009, 3:33 pmIf you need help beating a boss, then look no further! I will give out strategies to beat all of the bosses, so read on!
Boss 1: King Bob-omb
Attacks:
Stomp. Effect: Causes a ring that could damage you to expand. Counter:Jump over.
Grab and Throw. Effect: King Bob-omb picks you up and throws you. Counter: Stay away from King Bob-omb
Bob-omb summon. Effect: King Bob-omb throws a bob-omb that has a short fuse. Counter: Wait until the bob-omb gets up then spin into it. If it hits King Bob-omb, he takes damage.
Tips:
Don't touch the crown, it'll damage you.
Boss 2: Chief Chilly
Attacks:
Push. Effect: Knocks you away. Counter: Don't let Chief Chilly touch you while your not spinning.
Tips:
You will probably be dead if chief chilly pushes you because of the ice.
There is another way to kill chief chilly. Jump back up to the ground then, when chief chilly is near the edge of the platform, jump on the back side of his head. He'll fall off! Repeat until he's dead.
Bowser 1
Attacks:
Fire Breath. Effect: Bowser will breath fire. Counter: Stay away.
Fire Spurt. Effect: Bowser will breath small flames that will go towards you. Counter: Jump over or go under them.
Purple Fire Spurt. Effect: Same as Fire Spurt, but is effected by gravity. Counter: Go under the ones the bounce really high, and jump over the ones that bounce really low.
Jump. Effect: Bowser jumps and breaths Fire Spurts ( Including the purple ones.). Counter: Run under bowser.
Tips:
To take out bowser, go behind him and dive at his tail, then push left, then right, repeattietly. Then push x to throw bowser.
The easiest way I found to beat bowser is choose whether to throw him left or right. I spin for a while, then stop. When he is facing the direction I want to throw him, I throw him. If he lands on the ground and not on a bomb, just dive down on his tail and repeat.
Kamek 1
Phase 1: Broomless Kamek
Attacks:
Enemy Summon. Effect: Goombas and Bob-ombs appear out of nowhere. Counter: Kill the enemies
Spell attack. Effect: Kamek shoots a symbol at you. Counter: Dodge the symbol.
Tips: You just have to kill the enemies here. If you go near kamek, she'll teleport somewhere else.
Phase 2: Broom Kamek
Attacks:
Look above.
Bob-omb rain. Effect: Bob-ombs fall from the sky and explode on the ground. Counter: Run away from them.
Tips:
This battle is the same thing as phase 1 except kamek is now flying around on a broom, that new bob-omb attack, and the phase is divided into 3 parts. Part one has no goomba summoning pipes, part 2 has 1 goomba summoning pipe, and part 3 has 2 goomba summoning pipes.
Phase 3: Mega Goomba
Attacks:
Damage touch. Effect: Mega Goomba runs into you and you take damage. Counter: Jump on higher ground.
Jump. Effect: Mega Goomba jumps and attempts to land on you. Counter: Run around until he lands.
Tips:
Finally, you can now end this fight with a killable boss! Don't think the fight is easy just because it's a goomba. It's actually pretty hard! Even worse, this guy grows every time you hurt it! By the way, how do you damage it? If you were paying attention to the text in the upper left corner, then you know how to kill it. Don't ignore the goombas. Kill every one you get close to to keep the arena from filling up with goombas.
King Boo
Attacks:
Damage Touch. Effect: King Boo flys into you and you take damage. Counter: Use the turbo fludd to shoot away from King Boo( Just make sure you don't fly into a block.).
Tips:
To beat King Boo, you have to push two blue buttons then ram King Boo with the Turbo Fludd.
Bowser 2
Attacks:
Look at Bowser 1 to see some of the attacks.
Stomp. Effect: Causes a ring that could damage you to expand. This happens whenever Bowser jumps. Counter:Jump over.
Tips:
See Bowser 1 to see some of the tips.
The stomp attack doesn't work if bowser was hit by a bomb.
Big Bully
This boss is a copy of chief chilly, so look there for strategies on this boss.
Kamek 2
Phase 1: Broom Kamek part 1
Attacks:
Look at Kamek 1 phase 2 for attacks.
Tips:
The level you fight Kamek on scrolls, so be sure that you stay near the front of the screen so you won't be left behind. The level you're on is a lava fest, so be careful. Also, there are bullys in the level, so watch out.
Phase 2: Broom Kamek part 2
Attacks:
Look at Kamek 2 phase 1 for attacks.
Tips:
The screen has stopped scrolling, so breath a sigh of relief. The platform you're on is small, so defeat every enemy quickly. Bullet Bills and skelegoonies will also appear, so stay away from the left and right sides of the screen. Break the breakable blocks with a ground pound( Make sure you do this while part of you is on the unbreakable blocks.). You'll need to do it for the next phase.
Phase 3: Super Big Bully.
Attacks:
Look at Big Bully for attacks.
Tips:
This boss is the same as Big Bully, except this guy grows when he is knocked into the lava. Make sure the breakable blocks are destroyed so this fight is easier. Be careful, enemies will fall from the sky, so stay on you're guard.
Note: I'm sorry to all the people that are having trouble with a boss, but I've decided to cancel this walkthrough. Sorry, but I've stopped playing sm63 a long time ago.
