I love how this topic has suddenly become a debate.

But yeah, I'm pretty much in the middle of all this. :o.o:

Personally, I wouldn't like if my game (or my comics) was taken and posted without my permission, but as long as some credits and a link is given, it's okay for me.

Da Mario's right, ever since he said that Ninny, I've just remembered my reaction I had when I first used playedonline.

I used to use supermariobrothers as my first site for SM63 (though I'm sure it had a Level Designer?) and when I started on playedonline, it gave credits to Runouw and I remember thinking "that wasn't on the other site!" ... so yeah, that does mean Runouw's not going to be very happy. :o.o:

Oh, that must be the old version, then. In the old version, it just had "Made by Runouw" in plain text scroll by, with no link to his site. It did also have the LD, but there was no LD lobby where you could load levels submitted to the Portal. This is another reason why developers tend to restrict their games to certain sites: they want to make sure that all copies of their games are up to date.

I personally think we shouldn't get worried about it being on other sites if they give Runouw credit. More sites=more members=more followers. I came from GameNinja, Amp came from that site, so I wouldn't mess with it.
