A very weird copy of SM63

Postby CrazyMario » May 22nd, 2012, 2:38 am

I found it on Y8,here's the link
http://media.y8.com/system/contents/124 ... ario63.swf

If you can't be bothered to play it,I'll tell you what I found.
1.At the beginning, there isn't the word "Runouw" appearing in green. Only the words"Made into flash by Runouw."
2.The sign in the Mushroom Kingdom that tells you how to dive and backflip is gone. Same with the sign that tells you to how to pause the game.
3.At the end of the tutorial, you can see the sign and the pipe to Peach's castle. But just when you walk to the pipe, you enter a level transistor and you find yourself standing in front of Peach's castle just like after all the cutscenes. So when i went to the Shine Sprite Orb Room it was already automatically placed there.
4.When you click Story to go to the 4 files and start the game, there are two red and green buttons with "M" and "L" on them. More of an advantage, actually, since you can play as Luigi immediately without having to gather 32 Star Coins instead.
5.The Star Coin Prize Doors are missing!
6.There isn't a level designer.(either that,or you can only play it when you have 64 star coins. Once when I got a particular number of Star Coins they said that I had unlocked some "Enemy Pack 1 which consisted of Goonies,Koopas and Giant Goombas)The paintings in the level designer are white and they say LEVEL DESIGNER INCOMPLETE.
7.Eddie has ceased to exist, even thought there is a Toad in the Shine Sprite Orb Room.
8.The Jolly Roger Bay secret course has vanished.
9.The Tidal Isles secret course is gone too. If you go into the room there is a small black painting with the words "WARNING THIS IS NOT A PAINTING." written on it and a mad Toad saying that he heard of a Warp to a Seaside Course here. Seems like there's more to it...
10.When you go into the room which has Bowser's 2nd Trap, there is a waterfall blocking the entrance and it takes you to a level called Dire Dire Docks. The first bit is like Jolly Roger Bay,only that you can just swim to the right. No switch. No tornado. And after you go to the right and enter the transistion...you find yourself in the Cave of Empuzzlement. I didn't really care, but I soon did when I reliased 1 of the water-raising switches had been blocked up.
11.The secret passageway that leads to the room with the four Sling-Stars is gone. Not exactly gone, you can still jump into the right wall in the main hallway, but there is no door to triple-jump up into :wtf:
12.Which means that the Magma Maze course is gone, too.
13.After you defeat the first Bowser, you don;t get a warp key..you get a perfectly normal key.
14.The FLUDD tutorial is accesible ONCE you finish the 1st tutorial.
15.The sign that tells you how to use Turbo FLUDD is replaced by a sign that says"Bob-Ombs! Spin Attack using X." When you use the Turbo FLUDD to go and zoom through the looong water-filled tubes to hit the 2 switches...the "tubes" are dry. And there are no switches.
16.There is a SlingStar outside the castle tha takes you to the roof. The roof has ALL 4 powerups there. Once I took the wing cap, triple jumped off the roof and(almost)reached the Edge Of The Mushroom Kingdom.
17.When you pause the game,it is the same as the pause you get in the Level Designer. But it looks a bit silly. There are the words "Star Maj" or something like that.I clicked on it and I was taken to an incomplete Star Map.
18.The poison in Hazy Maze Cave isn't green. It's purple, which looks horrifying.
19.The Underground background is(slightly)different.
20.The Bob-Omb Battlefield,Snowman's Land,Hazy Maze Cave and Wet-Dry World paintings are different.
21.The"hints"have vanished too.(when I say hints,I mean these that appear in the top left corner that tells you things like how to win the Goomboss.
22.The Mini-Course Shine Sprites are all mixed up. The Shifting Sand Land one says Top Of The Town, which is the 1st Wet-Dry World star instead. The other 2 stars both say "incomplete area",even when you have completed them. The first Wet Dry World star says Top Of The Clock. Which IS the Tick-Tock Clock star instead.
23.Before you start a course, you will be showed the 5/3 stars and their descriptions. The descriptions for each star is different but if you pause the game, you can see the REAL description.
24.The Toads in Snowman's Land and Shifting Sand Land has ceased to exist.
If I can remember anything else,I'll put it here.

Also...if you think this is rubbish, lock it.

This version you're talking about is the beta version right after the name change. After Super Mario Sunshine 128, but before the full version of Super Mario 63.

I also noticed that the endless staircase remains endless no matter how many shine sprites you get. :?
