super mario 63 Idea

Ok, I got an idea for super mario 63 that In my opinion is Pretty cool, here it is.

You ever get the feeling that when you collect a star from someones level you feel cheated that you didn't really achieve something?
Well This idea is all about that! This is the thing, In your Runouw Profile you will then see a counter called "CustoShines" Which stands for Custom Spirtes ( a niftyy name I made up.) which shows just that, but heres the thing though, there needs to be a few key components in order to have a CustoShine. Here they are:
1: There Must Be atleast a 4 out of 5 rating on the level.
2: The level must be played for atleast 1 Minute (to reduce spam levels that consist of only the shine sprite and a platform)
3: You can only Get a CustoShine only ONCE PER CUSTOM LEVEL!
4: Level Must not have multiple shine sprites!

Who knows, maybe you might get popular with the amount of CustoShines you have.

Post any ideas or suggestions you have about any of the upcoming games.

That means this forum is made to post your ideas if you want a new game to be developed by Runouw.

There are forums specially made for SM63 like this and this

Also your idea looks more like a site-related one than a SM63 idea so instead you may want to post it there

A special medal for awesome portal levels sounds like an interesting idea, though.

Sorry for this bump.

Well...

Pros:
  • Yeah. It could motivate you to playing MORE!
  • If done fairly, Users would have something to show off (you may know what I am implying... the majority of the site could care less about post counts.).
  • It would be fun. Period.

Cons:
  • Even if the levels would meet the requirements, players could cheat (like moving the Start Position/Shine Sprite, or altering things).
  • There really cannot be a fair criteria, opinions may vary. Also, look out for down and over-raters. I (along with many others) was a victim before.
  • It seems like it could be an extremely hard thing to have functioning properly.
  • Saying that this idea were to work out, it wouldn't be fair to restrict levels from having multiple Shines in order for the system to work. If someone were to make the whole system work successfully, it couldn't be too much harder to make multiple Shines in the level have their own trigger. ...The con here is that level makers could have a Myriad of Shines in their levels, but potentially effortlessly easy to collect.
  • There are also a couple of (good) levels, here and there, that do not end with a Shine Sprite at all.

Bump. I hope I don't ruin any spoilers for you runouw, I'll take this down if I do,

but Runouw said he plans on implementing something like this. And I agree 100% percent.

Yes,it is. I want it to be implemented no matter what,though you need to make some adjustments to the criteria,or the cons mentioned in Triple J's post would come true.
