Not gonna argue there. It was a nice stress reliever picking out the trash. It was only stressful when you had ♥♥♥♥ of crap being posted, and when we got the chat powers for a limited time...

SM63 might pick up again in popularity if there's an update to it. Bugfixes, more LD capabilities, etc. Just saying.

Maybe. The graphics could be redesigned too, in an indie fashion.

That might be neat too, though the graphical issues that exist already should be fixed first.

You know, if someone finished this thing, that might help a lot too.

SM63 now isn't a wasteland...
I think SM63 now is a really good level designer (although I haven't played the old version at all before).

If you're talking about the documentation, that's what this and this are.

As for the program, ask Raz if he can get Suyo to share the code. The Github has been 404'd for a while.

So one random night, I had a thought. "Can swf files be converted backwards?" Turns out yes. Yes they can. With that being said, I have through some freak method that I can't remember managed to decompile the level designer back to a .fla format for editing. Whether or not it will work, I cannot say for certain, but as far as I'm seeing, things are looking positive.

And depending on whether or not I get a green light from Rob about open-sourcing the game itself, we may actually be seeing modifications, user-made, for SM63. All I can say for now is that I'm trying to see how things work, slowly, before I do anything big or make any promises.

But I just thought I would address this in this topic, seeing as this is where I got the idea originally.

I was always taught that once it was swf, it was not possible to revert it back. :c
