In Bowser's castle, after you beaten the robot Bowser, in the last part of the castle Mario jumped twice as high as normal. So that means in SM63 you can somehow make Mario jump higher, is one of the ways crack the code? Please reply to it to show your opinions.

There's a few glitches you can use to gain a lot of height. The two that come to mind are triple jump buffering and lava buffering, both of which involve repeatedly pausing. Just to name a few useful places, you can use the triple jump to skip over half of Thwomp's Castle, and the lava buffer can be used to skip a portion of Bowser's Trap 2. They could also potentially have sequence-breaking potential in custom levels.

You jump higher because you're in space. This is also the case in Galaxy of Stars.

Yeah, but Mario can't jump higher when we set the BG to Space in custom levels. My question is basically asking that can you add some sort of number after the level code to make the "GRAVITY" smaller?

As far as I know, you can't, just because it's in the story mode doesn't mean it's in the level designer as well. There are many things in the story mode that can't be done in custom levels, and this is one of those things.
Since no one mentioned this yet, you can always play as Luigi instead, who jumps just
slightly higher than Mario. But not everyone knows how to play as Luigi (you either unlock him or use the "cheat" code) and you can't force a custom level to use Luigi either.

There's also a way to set the parameters of moving blocks to bounce Mario higher than he can normally jump. I'm on mobile and the glitch thread is just terribly formatted to find anything, so I can't tell you how it works at the moment, but maybe someone else could come in and share a level that uses it, at least?
If not I'll give it a look when I'm on PC next.

How is that funny though?
Maybe you can, just no one knows.
... on second thought, it is kinda funny?? I dunno, 'cause runouw loves to hide secrets in the game, even in LD.

I'll poke around in the code and see if there is anything. If there is, I might be able to add a function to my (extremely WIP) sign-based modkit to change gravity. Edit: Yup, changing gravity is actually quite easy.
