My favorite BG is space, it has intense Epicness, really good for final levels, and the earth in the background.

Oh, yes the one that you can't choose. That was a good one too.

My favorite background is one that isn't in the level designer. It is the clockwork background. It's a huge background, it is well fitting for the level, and I just love the clock in the background.

Actually, the Tick-Tock Clock background is basically the Tick-Tock Clock of SM64, only in 2D.
