Stencyl Question topic!!!!

Postby Bogdan » March 25th, 2012, 3:58 am

You ask a question and the random guy who know the answer replies, simple eh? :awe: I made the topic because stencyl is the best easy-to-use game making program. So go and ask questions :3

Unfortunatelly it won't automagically animate it so you have to extract the sprites from the sheet one by one. After that you create an actor and add an animation for it. You click on the ! mark when added an animation and import a sprite, after that you add moar frames for the every single sprite from the sheet and you can also change the duration for it. Hope that helped you ;)

not necessarily. when you add a new animation and then click "Click here to add a frame," you can choose a sprite strip and then use the boxes on the left to animate it.

If by resources you mean the kits, de-archive them and copy-paste the folders in stencyl's games folder [where you installed stencyl, usually in c:/programs and files/stencylworks/games

I'm trying to make a Turn Based Battle game (think Pokemon) on Stencyl. Is that actually possible? If so, why is it so freakin' difficult?

Major credit goes to l.m for this!

Because, stencyl was meant to make physics based games.
