Hi everyone! As you may know, I am a guitarist who also plays bass and pretends he can play other things and sing. As such, I have made several recordings, compiled them into an album, and burned discs of them and given them to friends and stuff. So, I figured I'd post the songs from the album here. The album is called Sharp Minors. Feel free to listen, enjoy, and comment!

I didn't get enough time to listen to the second one, but here are my thoughts on the first:

Overall a nice song, It had that nice relaxing beachy vibe to it. I think you have very good skill with the guitar and bass. Although it did get repetitive in the middle, I liked the tune and I can say that I didn't forget it yet as i'm writing this. (I always think if you hear a song and you can still remember it later, you probably like it.or its just stuck in your head.

The only con is the overall beat of the song. It felt like it was missing something, like it needed some flavor instead of just sticking to the same beat. I think this is partly because of the drums. I know that you didn't record them, but maybe try to find different beats instead of using the same rythm throughout the song? (Except for a few bass drum fills)

Overall, keep it up, nice work!

Thanks! Yeah, I've been playing guitar for nearly seven years now, and while I had only played bass a few times previously (I had just gotten the bass), it's very similar to guitar. The reason why that middle solo section was a little lengthy is that, if there was a full-sized band, there would be multiple solos in there and I wanted to represent that space of time. And the whole thing with the drums can get pretty annoying…it can be really hard to find one that fits the song and even then it's not the one that you've got playing in your head and it really bothers you…but yeah. The other song has a little more variation in the drums, so if you get a chance to listen to that, you'll probably hear it. Anyway, thanks for listening!
