Well, a legacy is about to end. This friday, Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 is coming out. Obviously I'm gonna go see it. I'm expecting to see A LOT of people there.

I'm kind of upset, I've seen all the movies and are a pretty big fan of Harry Potter. But even though I'm sad I still can't wait for Part 2!

What about you guys?

Harry Potter is just something else. I mean, even for those who aren't megafans. I'm a casual Potter fan and I love them.

And think about it. Harry Potter may be the only movie series in which all the movies are critically acclaimed. Not just good reviews, but best of year reviews, like on each one most to all critics praise- I mean, even if I'm not a critic person, that's amazing. Consider the fact that 1) We have Twilight, 2) There's 8 movies in the franchise, and still, all of them got glowing, rave reviews. There isn't a weak spot in the franchise.

I don't think there's ever been a franchise without a flop, but this one's managed to do it. That in itself is something.

Harry Potter films have been average at best; the third being the best one yet.

By at least one review.. maybe. I'm going off here and it seems the first 2 were not that great, but did get full marks by one review. Lets hope this last film is quite good...

Average at best? I'm sorry, but from what I've heard, that's simply a major understatement. An 87 average is actually very good (and that's only for relevancy; the actual score for the movie is 90). Though, I rely on Rotten Tomatoes more than anything else, and right now it holds a 97% approval rating, based on 68 reviews. Of course, those reviews have only just begun to come in so we'll have much more accurate reviews when the movie actually releases. But from what it's looking like now, this last film is by far the best. And you're right, it does seem the first couple were the worst recieved (and even then it doesn't look like they were that bad), so to say that about an eight-movie franchise is quite impressive if you ask me. It's not so often you see a sequel that improves upon the first, let alone seven of them. I should also note that I've never actually seen any of the Harry Potter movies--apart from the first which I vaguely remember--so my opinion about the franchise is not at all biased.

That was just an opinion, not a fact. But okay, it was a little of an understatement. The 6th movie was kinda decent. I mean they are enjoyable movies to watch, to see how the books are represented, but I don't think they're masterful pieces of film making.

Lessee...

Read all the books.

My favorite movie was the 5th movie, because it followed the book and executed it very well.

My least favorite was the 7th book.

Part 1 of the 7th movie did one thing good, which is follow the book, but seeing how the book was jammed with BS about the Deathly Hallows, I still didn't like it. Sorry guys, not a fan of the 7th book, I enjoyed the rest of the series though, but the movies, atleast, to me, weren't that great.

Actually saw the midnight showing... In 3-D

However, I had to show up about 3 hours early for a good seat. I brought my DSi and played Pokemon White the entire 3 hours! :troll:

Gotta admit... That was damn good, defenitetely worth the extra money.
