Discussions, speculations, and predictions will be placed here. Also, be sure to put spoilers in the correct areas.

Yuki is a disaffected middle school boy who has no dreams or goals in life; in fact, the only thing he has is his diary. Writing down everything he observes and documenting every thought, the young boy uses it as an outlet for his imagination. One morning, however, Yuki wakes up to find his cell phone filled with diary entries for the next ninety days. Thinking nothing of it, he continues his morning until he begins to realize that everything on his phone is rapidly coming to pass, and it isn't just mere coincidence. Now, Yuki suddenly finds himself thrust into a survival game against other future diary owners to become the new Lord of Time.

I am seriously wondering how Ninth will die. She's an awesome character and it would suck to see her die, but it's gotta happen eventually.

I don't know why, but Eighth is so cool. She looks abnormal. And her silhouette caught my attention near the beginning. Plus, the new OP depicts that she might have a dark past. I can't wait to see how this is executed.

There are multiple mirrors so if one doesn't do it for you, try another.

Wow, a month with no activity? Dayum...

Anywai. After watching this for 19 episodes, so far, I've only really felt a large amount of sympathy for one particular character. And I haven't ever thought about it up until episode 19.

When I say SPOILER, I actually mean it: show
Eighth.

This woman didn't even want to be apart of the game. She had no intent on becoming the next god of time.

All she cared about was taking care of her children in Mother's Village. She takes care of many kids who don't have a home. They're basically her own family.

The children insist on her participating in the game because they believe that she can help every child without a home if she wins and becomes God. So the children do their best to help her win by getting their own phones and fighting themselves.

Then Episode 19 arrives, and my god...

So, Eleventh (who turns out to be the mayor) shuts down Mother's Village to make it easier to kill Eighth.

Putting the whole fake Yuno thing aside, after Yukki finds out that Eleventh is the mayor of Sakurami City, him and Yuno team up with Eighth and her children to take out possibly the toughest target, Eleventh. Eighth agrees and wants to help after what Eleventh did to her.

They manage to cut him off on the road and attempt to compromise him, but with no warning, his car sends out wacky signals that mess with the children's phones. As a last ditch effort, Yukki and Yuno end up killing every single one of Eighth's children, and there is a lot of them.

Eighth stands there in absolute shock but eventually runs away and escapes into Eleventh's car.

First and Second betrayed her. She trusted them and wanted to help after Eleventh shut down Mother's Village. Everything she loved has been taken away, Mother's Village, all her children, and now she has no where to go.

Eighth was forced to partake in a violent game she didn't want to play. All she cared about was taking care of her children.

This makes sense, in the 2nd OP, it shows Eighth mourning over all the deaths of her children.

She deserves all my sympathy.

Also, the 2nd OP is apparently in Engrish.

LYYYYYYYRIIIIIIIIICS

The girl with the sharp thorn in her flesh

I meet you at your story

Behind the hatred there lies a murderous love

Do you kill your friends, if you can fulfill your wish?

Can you die for someone?

They are synonymous words

Life is a game It's a survival That's right! How do you start?

Time and Space It's a crossroad through a gate! Where do you go?

You seek eternal breath

Why do you need to live?

We don't know when this world came into being

We are the time leaper

Nothing's gonna change with you in the world

Everything will be decided by the rules

Oh, We are traveling the past and the future through love

Break out!

Let's dial back all the pains and we will be born again

I wanna see the stars with you

Over the miracle

It's not a Dead END

-----

Makes sense, I guess...

Spoiler: show
Most of them didn't want to. Deus Ex just thought it would be funny to put them all into the game.
Just for two examples, Yukiteru didn't want to become god, but decided to do so when he heard he could revive his parents, and Fourth (don't know the name - the police guy) didn't want to become god, but decided to do so when he heard he could heal his son who is terminally ill.

If Deus Ex didn't start the game, none of them would have become killers (exceptions are Second, Third, Ninth and the others who already were)

There's a whole friggin topic for this!? Dang I really need to get out of egosearch more.

Anyway I just want to say, I'm not to sure if I want Yuki to become god anymore. I mean I wouldn't mind it so much before he went badass. I mean sure he didn't have any balls but but you could trust him. Now he does whatever is necessary to win. Which I can't disagree with. That's probably the only way to win. But you know, he's just different now.

Now to the storyline.
ep. 20 spoiler... kinda: show
I'm beginning to wander what Deus actually wants. He claims to seek a successor and given his current condition this is probably true but I can't shake the feeling that he wants a lot more. And I'm sure everyone else has that as well. I mean why else would he choose so many contestants that have insanity in some form or another? Maybe they think differently there in whatever dimension Deus exist in but here I'm sure the vast majority of humanity would see them as unfit to become god.

While I'm on the subject what exactly is Dues? Did he look like that since he first entered existence? Or maybe his existence never started only ended. (maybe it'll never end) Nevertheless if there are beings in other dimensions much like himself and Muru Muru why did he choose humans.

Probably incoherent babbling. I just wanted to get that off my chest.
