Well, I strip mined the official site, in response to this topic, and I can indeed confirm that Sonic is in it, though I haven't seen anything with him talking, so I cannot confirm that. The only stuff shown of Bowser indeed has him grunting and stuff, but that doesn't completely disprove that he talks. I am amazed (though in this day and age of Sega not in hardware and crossovers like Smash Bros. more common than any of us could have dreamed 10-20 years ago, not that amazed) that so many companies have signed on to this. I saw a preview for it while watching another movie 6 months ago, or so, and I am amazingly excited to see more info. Now, if I could just get an in on some press stuff, I could pass out happy from fanboy overload.

EDIT: I just watched the trailer again, and it clearly shows Bowser mouthing while the whole group says the "Bad Guy Affirmation", indicating that he at least is correctly portrayed as being able to speak. Whether he actually has a line in the movie to himself is another question, unfortunately, but he is indeed capable of it.

This is all I could find, but it may not be in the movie if it's not on the official site. Plus, it seems like a pointless portion of the scene in my opinion.

Movie's out, saw it

It's great. Plenty of cameos and stuff like you guys were all hyped about. The plot moves along pretty quickly though so it's kind of unpredictable (Well, it is, but almost never what I thought it was gonna be). There are some really sad moments, some shocking moments, some funny moments, etc., and all in all Disney's (well, Pixar's) pretty much outdone themselves here.

also yes, Sonic did talk, but pretty briefly. Nintendo hype train go kill yourself, there is little to no reference to any of their games in the movie. There's Bowser very briefly but he doesn't talk or anything he just spits fireballs and looks around the room blankly.

Mario and Luigi couldn't be in the movie because disney had to pay nintendo a ''small'' fee of millions of dollars.. Just for Mario and Luigi to appear..
I'm gonna see the movie if:
A. It gets cheaper
B. It comes out on DVD

Well, it's a critical darling from what I saw. 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, 73 on Metacritic, and buzz for it to win the Oscar for best Animated Feature (where it will likely face movies like Paranorman, Brave, Frankenweenie and The Secret World of Arrietty.) Also, currently an 8.3 and Climbing on IMDB (although that will likely settle, it still puts it in a good position to possibly crack the all-time top 250.) Looks like this one's a gem!

Um, this is just Disney, not Pixar. Still a good movie.

I was expecting a little more in terms of worlds, but we only get to see 4, and the story seems to stay in the candy world for the most part. Don't get me wrong, it fits the story perfectly, but it kind of wanted me to see more. Also, the romance seemed a little forced. I also wished that they brought the "you die outside of your game, you're dead for good" idea more into play than it really did. Probably the saddest part of this movie is that I recognized almost all of the references and kameos in the movie. Overall, I liked the movie, though I also don't think it's Disney's best work.

That's all I can think of for now.

The movie is only out on the 5th of December in France.

Anyone spoils anything and he gets kicked in the balls so hard tney will break the space-time continuum and travel in time to get kicked endlessly.

oh okay.

Even if it's not their best it's still a damn good story. Doram was going bonkers on the chat last night over how 'awesomesauce' it was.
