Even though I don't really have much of an interest in shows animated this way, or even watching shows or movies at all, I watched the first episode to get a bigger glimpse at how it looks and I just might continue watching. :)

That's good. The series as it is right now is pretty short but when it has its moments
it has them moments
Even if you end up not liking it, I'm glad you're giving it a fair shake.

THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."

"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."

Yeah, I got through the other episodes and it's not bad, and gets pretty funny, but sometimes it just loses momentum and slows down a bit too much for me. The fight scenes totally make up for it though. I'm actually kind of eager to see the next volume when it comes out, I have to find something to waste away my time with anyways, since I haven't really followed behind anything fairly new before. I'm always about a half a decade or so behind everyone else. :L

Still emulating old N64 games that hardly anybody knows about FTW.

I watched this a while back. It's... not quite perfect, but is a decent watch. The trailers looked very promising, but I was a bit disappointed that it didn't quite live up to the hype. The voice acting is kinda rough, and so is a lot of the environments in the anime, which sometimes look like awful Garry's Mod projects. The animation is kinda clunky and awkward, though I expect this to get better over time. The plot isn't exactly stellar as it does a poor job of explaining itself through both dialogue and context. Overall this is an average anime, and it isn't anything I'd really write home about.

Average is pretty good for an amateur studio.

Besides, most people probably watch for Monty's impressive fight choreographing.

That said, Volume 2 premier launched 2 nights ago I believe?

Rest in Peace Monty Oum...

While he wasn't a major influence on what I want to pursue, seeing his stellar choreography and his role in RT certainly gave me more assurance in what I think are my desires.

I hope this doesn't spell the end of RWBY; mediocre as it is, I still enjoy it for some reason. I don't think it would be the same without his hand in animation, but I want to see the characters he made accomplish what he intended them to if nothing else.

So I don't really have anywhere else to post this, and since Nin posted here I thought I should do so...

This news comes to a shock to all of us. What was supposed to be something routine turned into something unimaginable. Even now I can barely believe what happened.

Monty Oum was an amazing person. If you guys didn't know anything about the creator of the RWBY show, he was the man who created the brilliant choreographies for Rooster Teeth. Not only in RWBY but in RvB as well as his own works. For years he's worked nonstop for his works. He literally had a bed in office so that he could work and go to sleep and wake up to work again. Even when he was vacationing, he would be working. He loved his works and would pour his heart out into them.

These past couple days have been rough... Watching the RTPodcast and seeing all of the tributes to him, everytime it's just another reminder that a brilliant mind has left us. It's frustrating. So much he won't be able to see. He had RWBY planned out for seasons ahead. From the podcast, I've gathered that the crew will continue on, as Monty would have wanted them to.

The one thing that's amazing to see, time and time again, is the collective support of the Rooster Teeth fans. We can see how devestated everyone is, and they don't try and hide the fact that Monty wasn't just another coworker or a producer. No, he was a friend to all of them.

I'm really not sure what I want to say in this post, but yeah... My minds a little fried, and everytime I see anything about it... All we can do is do what Monty would do. We need to keep going forward, and see what happens next.

"Keep moving forward"

We love you, Monty.
