So Yeah...

This was supposed to be a topic about stuff I've made in Anvil Studio, and whadayouknow, I'm not good at digital music. So screw this, I'll just play the guitar. I haven't been getting much done either, I've been trudging along doing nothing but browsing the forums, playing terraria, etc.

That brings me to what I've been doing recently. I felt I wasn't getting a whole lot done, and since I've been learning how to play the guitar, I'm going to post a few things here from time to time when I'm bored and have the time to record ♥♥♥♥. Recently, I've been learning the chord progression to Staind's Everything Changes, and have been wanting to sing it as well. I currently don't have the ability to practice singing it, since I would rather wait till I'm alone to do that. I'll probably get the singing part out of the way in august when my sister finally goes back to school. Thankfully I have a gaming headset that I bought which I'll be using so I don't have to use my ♥♥♥♥ laptop mic.

there's no slight difference, they are MIDI files and their extension is .mid

I've been holding off on this topic for awhile, but now that I have something that I'm at least a bit more experienced with, I decided to bring this topic back and give it a name change. In case you're wondering, I've decided to start uploading songs that I've attempted/practiced/sung to my google drive and set up the folder so it can be viewed via a url. The Google Drive URL is on the first post in the topic, so once this google drive folder/this topic gets bigger and contains more stuff, people can access it from there and view the files within the folder instead of flipping through these pages.

It doesn't sound too good at the moment without singing, so It's nothing but the chords being played in their exact order. The entire song on the acoustic is literally only three chords, so yeah...

I ♥♥♥♥ up a little bit (and by that I mean a lot) at the end, so it doesn't exactly turn out right. I might record that again at a later date and try to get it down correctly.

I got more stuff that I've recorded, one is a song and the other is a song but not quite. The only reason I say that is because it's basically the chords to the entire song but played with varying speeds, strumming patterns, etc. A bit of a test if you will.

A song by Foo Fighters that I decided to play, and hopefully sing at some point. The singing heard in this recording is merely me trying to keep up with my place in the middle of the song, not necessarily attempting to sing, even though I did get some of the lyrics wrong occasionally.

Now this one in particular had some rough patches here and there. I had trouble doing everything the way I had planned to play it, and threw out a few curse words out of frustration that I painstakingly edited out. There are still several parts here and there that I left out because they were just plain awful, and I managed to find a few areas where I did pretty good. But oh well, it is just practice.

I've been getting tired of playing chords over and over, decided I would get into my favorite part of playing the guitar, tabs. I've gotten pretty good at it, and the song I recorded just a few minutes ago turned out pretty well.

This is just the verse since the chords in the chorus haven't quite sounded right, but during the recording I messed up several times until finally getting something good. I swear, the entire recording turned out to be almost a whole hour long because I wanted to get it down just right. Not to mention the week of practicing it over and over. Eventually I managed to get something close enough with as little mistakes as possible. I feel like I should do more of these, because even after all the frustration of working out all the imperfections, I still feel it turned out great even though I feel like ♥♥♥♥ right now...
