Better Call Saul is an upcoming prequel to one of the greatest television series' of all time, Breaking Bad. It will star Bob Odenkirk as criminal lawyer (criminal lawyer) Saul Goodman, Jonathan Banks as former-police-officer-turned-private-investigator Mike Ehrmantraut (the most badass Hungry Hungry Hippos player of all time), and a few other new characters (Michael Mando from Far Cry 3, anyone?). Once again, the series was created by Vince Gilligan, and to my knowledge, all of his writers from Breaking Bad are working with him yet again. The series premieres on February 8 on AMC. As you probably guessed, this topic will serve as a placeholder for reactions, commentary, discussion, etc. for when the show starts airing.

I guess the main question I should ask is, who else is excited for this besides me and Mic?

Heard it may be more comedy-like, unlike Breaking Bad that was drama/action.

I don't mind. Vince Gilligan wrote some "humorous" episodes for the X-Files and they were positively received.

Not to mention Breaking Bad itself was hilarious at times.

Believe it or not I think Breaking Bad was billed as a comedy-drama at a time. Granted, it clearly leaned more heavily on drama, especially as it went on, but it was damn funny when it wanted to be.

Anyway I'm obviously super pumped. Only problem is that that will mean I have four shows to watch a week, so either I'll just never ever get any sleep or I'll have to drop one.

Didn't notice this topic was here. Breaking Bad is definitely in my top 3 shows, and I've been waiting for this show since the series finale. Count me in.

I'm working an EMT shift tonight when Better Call Saul premiers. I'll be watching at the squad house, and if anybody is dumb enough to get sick or start dying or something during the show then they can just sit there and wait cause I ain't coming to help them before 11 PM EST. I'm sorry, I'm not gonna be held responsible for your ♥♥♥♥ timing.
