Music copyright crack downs

What do you think about common music sites cracking down on uploading copyrighted material? do you think they should?
Do you think they should let users on the web listen to music for free and download copyrighted material???

It all depends wether your in favor for the law, or your rights, and you know what? if downloading music was strictly illegal, then hand cuff me now. i believe every one has a right to listen to free music. i even heard before that they tried to get rid of music on radio stations, i find that on the other hand though, they have a good point. profits go down the drain when you download music for free, your just one less customer. but there are plenty of people who download and upload copyrighted material, wich means even less money earned for the artists who made the songs. but what really matters is YOUR opinion, what do YOU think?

It's up to the record companies to decide whether or not to allow the music to be downloaded freely. As for the crackdown, it's not even that strict. Obama doesn't have that much power because the Supreme Court is still very Conservative. I bet you that once there is a more Liberal government, there will be a more large music crackdown.

ya true, but it's still being done...sometimes it's hard for me to find music for my mp3, and im not resorting to limewire. (limewire crashed my computer, for some reason)

Limewire apparently has virus's.

It's not that Limewire has a virus, it's that it creates a huge hole in your firewall that allows viruses to enter more easily.
