I play Alto Sax, (SKIP THIS PART), and I'm really good. I'm 12 1/2, been playing for 2 1/4 years, and I can play almost anything, have been told that I play at a college level by professionals, and can improvise on 16th notes. In fact, I'm the one of the only people in my school who knows anything about jazz. The only people who are better musicians than me at the school have been playing their whole life and are obsessed with classical music, and I'm not that far behind them. I once played Take Five and soloed at my school talent show a month ago, and everyone was in awe, cause they were like, "OMG, how does he do it? Wow, he must really like jazz! Yay!" They really don't know how easy soloing can be if you are really good.

I once played Take Five

OMFG, so much win. Take Five is such a fantastic song. When I was part of a jazz quarter in high school, we played that song…I didn't solo on it though. Probably could've…the verse is very easy and then the chorus is just modulating…not too hard to follow methinks. That said, glad you like jazz and are good at it, cause jazz is awesome.
