Comic (52?)(2?) Review

4/10
Short, and randomness replacing what's supposed to be humor. Make sure the lines aren't tampered, either. You can see a little green in the borders that you can quickly patch up with the pencil tool.

That, my friend, is how to give a proper review for a mehish comic.

Also, this is out of 10, not out of 5.

...wat.

First of all, just because someone does something to you doesn't mean you should do it to someone else. If you don't like the fact that people don't give constructive criticism, set an example. Second, if you're going to take points away for something completely irrelevant to the art itself, then you're just a bad reviewer period. Now, both of you, stop arguing or do it somewhere else. This topic is for art.

As for the art itself: it was okay. The humor was classic, old-but-semi-effective humor. The graphics were obviously all taken off of the web (except for the ground, which is just a green rectangle). Some of the stretching for the objects were a bit off as well. For now, I'll give you 6.5/10

Pro:
-...Um...You tried, I guess...

Cons:
-Messed up Sonic/Shadow/Knuckles/Master Emerald sprites.
-Overused humor. And by that, I mean REALLY overused.
-Bad speech bubbles...And NO speech bubbles at all

Neutral:
-The background was, meh.
-The Sonic-Mario idea has been used many times before. Not so...Um...Original.

Yeah. I wouldn't give you so much. A 3/10, at least.

I have announcement. I will be making mo more for 2 reasons. 1. No one seems to like them much except for kirby and avo.
2. It is tiring to make these anyway.

Everyone, I have decided to continue on making this comic. The 3rd one will be up soon. EDIT: It's up! And it's a bit of an improvement over the other two... And by the way, this is my 64th post! it matches my name! XD

EDIT2: Fixed a small messup in the comic...

Re: Segendo Comics

Postby AlucardX60 » February 3rd, 2011, 11:55 am

Imma review this leike usu cuz it seemed to work. :3

Pros-
Actual background

Cons-
Background is badly resized
Sprites are un-proportional to the background
Text balloons are still bad

neutral-
Humor is decent :awe:

All you really need to do to fix this is make sure you don't resize the background next time. instead simply change where the "camera" is so you can have a large area without suffering from a bad resize.
Another thing you might want to note is that if you double the size of a sprite/background/etc. it will be "life size". meaning it will look the same size as when you played the game. But remember that if you resize one thing you have to resize everything else the same way unless you want it to be bigger.

And about the text balloons, just use the rectangle tool, or the eclipse tool. I'm not sure what program you use (though I'm assuming Paint) but on most you can choose the size of the outline. Try to keep it small. You want to allow the viewer to still be able to see as much of the background as possible. Other wise it looks like you stuck a huge billboard in the way.

This better help as it is the longest review I've ever given a single comic.

Thank you for your review! I also have uploaded the next one. So, what do you think? Does it fare better as a single-panel or 6-panel comic?

EDIT: Dangit, I forgot to upload it. It's uploaded now.

Oh. uh my review was for the new one. Unless you released a #4 that I am unaware of.

Mariox64 wrote:Does it fare better as a single-panel or 6-panel comic?

Well I have a feeling that all of my single-panel comics haven't fared to well. So I try to keep my comics at at least 6-panels. But you can use as many as you like. As long as the humor is good a two panel comic can be just as good, if not better, then a 6-panel comic.
