Many people (Well, no one really) have asked:"How do I make that glowing aura that I find in your avatar and in your signature?" . I am here to tell people how.
There are two ways, the long one, and the short one.
The long way:
First, take a sprite. Any.
Then, choose a background. Example: Black background.
Paste the sprite into a new layer, and then duplicate the layer(Ctrl+Shift+D) that the sprite is in.
Then on the top layer adjust the hue/saturation to the following settings:
Hue: 0
Saturation: 100
Lightness: -100
Then use Brightness and Contrast(Ctrl+Shift+C) and set it to the following settings:
Brightness: 100
Contrast: 0
Repeat afterwards, so the brightness goes to 200.
Then go to Adjustments -> Sepia and click on it. It may not look any different, but this step is important!
Then use Hue/Saturation and set it to the following settings:
Hue: 28
Saturation: 200
Lightness: 0
After that: put this settings:
Hue: -5*
Saturation: 200
Lightness: 0
*=If you play around this, you may get a different result than yellow, which is used for this example..
Afterwards, move the layer down with the button on the layer window. Then, do an Effect->Blur->Gaussian Blur with a radius of 20 pixels. Flatten the image, and you're done!
The short way:
Simply recolor your sprite of the color your aura wants to be (I do this easier by using the Magic Wand with a Tolerance of 70 pixels so all the sprite is selected, and while it is selected, I change into the Paint Bucket, put the tolerance on 100, and use the Paint Bucket to recolor) , and then do an Effect->Blur->Gaussian Blur with a radius of 20 pixels. (If you used my method of making recoloring short, make sure to stop selecting the sprite, otherwise the Gaussian Blur will end wrong!) . Flatten the image, and job finished. 3 times faster.

You can post how you made the effect here.
