Lately I've been bored. So what have I done?

Made fakemon.

Below are the ones I have made currently. Feel free to comment and criticize them correctly. That means actually point out the flaws, the pros, cons, etc. If they look like crap, tell me why.


Dittox(poison Ditto)
Shadrijxzaz(my version of Missingno.)
Curseor(ghost cursor. Evos soon to come)
Five_Question_Marks(a glitch found in the older games. I just decided to actually make it)
Umatrix(Unown fused to build a stronger beings. No two look alike)

I'll be very straightforward. The first ones aren't very good at all.

Work on shading a bit on the first one. I see that you used a checkerboard pattern to shade, and that doesn't look good on a sprite IMO. Just a straightforward transition from one shade to the next works fine. Make the shadow go all around the whole bottom half of the belly. Also, the outline is too thick. 1 pixel.

The second one needs to have better perspective. The teeth need to shrink a little as it goes left, for example.

As for the third one, the face and arms clash with the cursor. Either make the facial details and appendages more pixelated, or make the cursor smoother.

The last two look okay.


When I sprited, I keep zooming in to work on the intricate stuff, and zoomed out to see if it looked professional. Takes alot of work, usually, but it pays off.

Yeah, I never was good at shading. I can draw them, just not shade them. Kind of ironic, though, since my nickname is Shade. :\

Anyways, I made two more Pokemon before you posted, so minus the shading issue on them, thoughts?

Devblu:

Curseor evolves into Pliper, which is sort of like a USB mouse gone bad. Pliper evolves into Devblu, which is the evil Blue Screen of Death.

Shading aside, the outlining still needs work. It looks too bold. You can probably use a very dark shade of a different color to outline. For these two, a dark gray would be good. Oh, damn, I mentioned shade. x_x

The 2nd should look more menacing. The face looks rather humorous, actually.

Made an HG/SS custom overworld sprite of Shadrijxzaz.


I'm also starting to make custom spritesheets. They look pretty good, so far.

Made this during school while I was bored


The top two are new biker trainers, if you want to use them.

Below them is a fusion of Caitlin(B/W), Cynthia(D/P/P), and the ghost trainer from D/P/P. It is meant to be Cynthia in a dress, since a girl like her deserves to go partying every once in a while.

Next is just a fusion of Drake and whatshisface from Emerald.

Lastly, I took the guy from the Battle Subway in the black suit, mirrored his suit, and drew a ghost.


I'd say these are my best.
