YoshiMario96's Art

Postby YoshiMario96 » August 14th, 2011, 11:34 pm

Here's some art. Mostly Stykz animations.
I can take most requests. From videos, to sig GIFs. I usually won't have my videos in the best quality. Sometimes I get a messed uo version when exporting to GIF.

A small but awesome combo. It's not easy working with polygon particle effects. I am better now, btw.

A really short one I made when the little girls from downstairs requested it :P

A remake of a guy's sig on the EE Forums (It's supposed to be slow-mo)

The second would have to be my favorite, though the first comes very close. The problem I had with the first one is that the contrast of the background didn't fit very well, though the combat was done fairly well, and I particularly liked the lightning effect. Although the camera seems to be pinned directly on the combat, which sort of gives the impression of a cramped room, so I think in the future you should try working with a larger battle screen, or even try working with a dynamic-style camera (rather than a "fixed" one), which if done properly will give a very exciting feel to the action.

The obvious critique I have about the second one is its extremely short length, but other than that I find its execution to be much smarter. The attack looks quite fluid, and a sense of "strength" shines here more than it did for any of the attacks of your previous video. The combat was easy to see, even if that ease comes from a bit of laziness (no background, derr). Quite impressive.

Your gif is a bit less impressive than the other two; the animation feels a bit clunky (considering the character just seems to hover back after his backflip). Regardless, it wasn't too bad, but it feels a bit rushed.

I'd like to see a bit lengthier work from you in the future, because you have the potential; just keep in mind what I said about color contrast, camera control, and fluidity (which, again, Video 2 contained all of these aspects), and you should be fine.

Wonderful advice, Blab. It's hard for me to work on long ones, because I run into errors really often (for no reason). Then my animations just get messed up and I can never work on them again. :x
Also, I have to use polygon/circle effects, so each hit won't look so good, and I can't get a good background.
I'm like 4000% :troll: better now, but that won't mean I won't have flaws.

P.S. I need help with creating an RHG character for my animations. They're basically characters you make up and make them kick ♥♥♥.But I won't make RHG battles, just my character against random stick figures. (Example of RHG battle that I didn't make): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7I70FbloQ4k )
