Damn. These blow my mind. Mine is complete crap compared to these...
I'm dropping out. Because mine sucks. So sad. :p
WELL SORRY, I'M JUST NOWHERE AS GOOD AS THESE PEOPLE. I CAN'T ENTER. MINE IS WORSE THAN COMPLETE CRAP, IT'S ABSOLUTE ♥♥♥♥. I HAVE TO DROP OUT. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE I'LL WIN. EVEN THOUGH I TOOK A LOT OF TIME ON IT, IT'S HORRIBLE.

Transparency, people. It's important.
No, really. I didn't think mine was that much better than the others. I love the pixel art on Star king's entry, for example.

Seriously, you think yours is worse than mine? Have you even seen mine?

I don't think mine was a great example of transparency but I like to keep outlines on my words so that's probably why.

You know what? Oranj, post what you've got, and MP3, stop worrying. Just because you might not win is no reason to not enter. Do your best, and get the reviews. Find out what you can improve on. The experience of trying is important. You almost got a ribbon this LDC, MP3, and if there were less entrants, you might have even placed top 3. Keep trying, and you will keep improving, and that is how you win.
I didn't get where I am overnight. That image I made used every trick I know, with 30-40 layers, filters, transparency, cutting pasting resizing, the whole shebang, and I've been doing this for years. Take it as a learning opportunity. Heck, if you want to know ANYTHING about what I did, just ask. I have no problem sharing my secrets to success. Try hard, pay attention, and learn from everything, and you will all be awesome.

You see, I'm usually terrible at art - my teachers have told me so. But hey, if I'm lucky, I could get a medal!

And yes I realised how close I was to a ribbon, but after the 13th LDC, I know I must be improving.

I'm so late. I think 6 days is enough time though. I'll see what I can scrounge up. :3

I fail at this kind of thing so much, and I dunno what the heck Suyopai-*EH-HEM! Sumopaint is, so I'll just sit back and watch the epic entries roll in.

You don't have to make it in Sumopaint you know. As far as I can tell the only requirement is that it's the same size as the image in the first post.
Also I think I may have gone overboard with the Hellsing in mine. :3
