Actually I wasn't going for that but I noticed the resemblance after seeing it on Ludum Dare's page.

Thanks for the reply. If you haven't read the thread, it means a lot.

I click ReDead without thinking. I now sit on my iPod with a broken laptop across the room.

I would just like to let you know I'm not responsible for any action/s the viewer takes while viewing my gallery.

Also, despite this I still didn't win the contest.

So guys. I'm thinking about making a pixel art tutorial. For the heck of it, for conversation among friends, and because there are too friggin many Pixel art tutorials that force the artist's style on it's readers. I can't promise I won't do the same but I'll try my best.

I've already started on the first part, but I'd like to see what exactly you guys want to hear about. So while I work on part one, go ahead and ask questions and I'll try to cover them.

Made a rupee for a cool project someone started on Deviant art to demake Majora's Mask as a GameBoy game. You can find the gallery and project info here. http://majorasmaskgb.deviantart.com/

Long overdue updates.
1-bit Tileset: show
A study I did to see what I could do with a limited palette.
Image

forest scene: show
started out by me just making a tree, ended up with a forest, then a wizard and a troll.
Image

cave tileset: show
Old tileset from a game that will never be made. No background but if we ever use this set in a game I'll make one. Included the preview image because I liked the way it turned out.
Image
Image

Auto-runner mock-ups: show
like above it's not going to be made into a game but that was the intention at some point. The grass tiles are obviously more complete but I'm too busy to come back to it.

As a bonus you guys get a gif of a coffee mug.

like
Theyre sorta too silhouette-y

THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."

"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."
-Ezio Auditore da Firenze explaining the Creed, 1514, Masayaf.

Yeah, everything except the auto-runner and coffee mug is pretty old. I tried to give them lots of blue but it didn't really work. I would've adjusted it but my younger naive self told me not to edit the palette I was using at all.

Which is this one by the way. I actually use it for most everything now and it hasn't really been getting in my way till recently.

You're SO FREAKING GOOD at doing pixel art. It's just awesome. Also you don't restrict yourself to one style, it seems like you work in many kinds of things. Good job :)
