I would've used a smaller brush size for the mouth and nose, but it looks like a very fun and friendly image. Anyone with a childhood would gladly take it.

Twas a quick drawing. I didn't feel like perfecting it. Only used 2 brushes and the fill tool for background. Maybe I'll make a better one a different day.

Actually, there IS a tool that makes it easy. It still looks amazing though, hm? :3

Yeah. I'm double posting. But with an update. ...I don't feel like editing my other post because updates are more important than silly little comments. WHAT? D: That's not fair! You can't do this! ...Okay, I'll make you a deal. I get to double post with my update, and you get nothing. You think that's not a fair ratio? Fine! Here's the art.


I got bored and recolored some fire flowers. If you're not a Mario fan, you might as well just leave, because I put a little description with each one, and just looking at the art will make you think OH IT'S STUPID.
Anyways: show
NOTE: These flowers are meant for a game like Super Mario Galaxy, rather than a game like New Super Mario Bros. They would last a limited amount of time, and if I somehow get the dedication, I will make a specific music track for each one (if I figure out how, lol).

LAVA FLOWER
Yeah, so what, the leaves are red and Nintendo always makes them green. Bleh. Anyway, this flower lets you shoot extra-powerful fireballs that leave a trail of fire behind them. Also, while active, Mario can walk through fire, and he can also walk on lava (but only for a few seconds, it acts as quicksand).
This flower would have a lower, more intense version of the original SMG Fire Flower music.

CRYSTAL FLOWER
In an attempt to recreate the Ice Flower, I came up with this, which acts more like the Ice Flower from NSMBW than SMG. Anyway, this flower lets you shoot strange balls of energy or liquid glass or something like that. It will move slowly, but it will chase the nearest enemy. When it hits them, they will solidify into a transparent crystal statue. It doesn't really do much other than decor and avoiding enemies in rooms that spam them all over. If the enemy is airborne, its statue will fall to the ground. Mario can push these around, mainly to solve certain puzzles. Also, if Mario ground-pounds near one, it will shatter and a coin will pop out.
This flower would have tinkly music, like windchimes or something.

FLOWERGLASS [and or Time Flower]
It's a pun on hourglass. DON'T JUDGE ME, WOMAN. So then. You can slow down time with this flower, and you can return it to normal within a timespan of about 20 seconds, the length these flowers last. You shake the Wiimote, or Wiiumote or whatever it'll be called if a game with these comes out, and time will slow down. If it's already slowed down, it will go back to normal.
This flower would have the original SMG fire flower music, but slower and with more drums.

SPIRIT FLOWER [name pending]
Um... So it's a flower. And it turns you all white and ghostly and spooky. But it's not like the Boo Shroom. It's more of an outfit than a total transformation. You can shoot these weird balls of energy or something, and they move a bit slow, but they do follow enemies. They also are a bit inaccurate. But, when they do, the enemy vanishes in a little "poof" and then a spirit thing appears. It follows you around, even when the flower wears out, and it will sacrifice itself on a powerful enemy to protect you. The flower's meant to appear in a ghost themed galaxy, and on a boss stage, where the spirits will attack the overpowered boss, which would probably be something along the lines of King Boo or even a Spirit Bowser type thing.
This flower would have a spooky, echoing, slow remix of the original SMG fire flower music.

SHADOW FLOWER
Not to be confused with the Flowerglass by its color. This flower melts Mario into the shadows, where he can slip onto the wall and find his way across 2D shadowlands of silhouettes and then jump out. It would be designed for a ghostly level, once again.
This flower would have a very low pitched, creepy, and generally altered version of the original SMG fire flower track.

VINE FLOWER
Yeah, stupid name. This flower lets you shoot leafy green orbs out, and they bounce three times, and then melt into the ground and produce a vine going up. Each vine only lasts a few seconds, so climb it fast and jump off the giant leaves that sprout out the sides.
This flower would have an earthy, jungle version of the original.

LIGHTNING FLOWER [name pending]
Yeah, I know, it's gonna be in 3D Land. But I still made this, just because. You'd shoot little yellow shocky things that leave a trail of yellow jagged stuff behind it that looks kinda like lightning. It electrocutes stuff. 'Nuff said.
This flower would have kind of an 8-bit remix of the original ICE flower track, not fire flower, from SMG, or at least something with lots of staccato beeps.

INVINCIBILITY FLOWER
Yeah. There's stars. But this is better. YOU CAN SHOOT RAINBOWS AT ENEMIES, AND THEY EXPLODE OF AWESOMENESS. And be normally invincible at the same time.
This flower would have totally epic remix of the invincibility music.

FLASH FLOWER
No need for Yoshi's Bulb Berry, the Flash Flower's got your back! A small area around Mario is lit up in the dark, and he can shoot balls of light that light up the dark. Any surface it comes near or touches lights up and slowly fades away, solidified while visible. Also, that small area around Mario seems to lag a bit behind him when he jumps, so don't try jumping onto an invisible surface, because you'd fall through before it could light up.
This flower would have no music, just a few sound effects like the Bulb Berry.
