SUDDENLY, ART

Well, I still have been making art lately, of course, but they are mostly avatars, sigs or medals, or drawings but I'm either too shy or too lazy to post them. But not this time! I have made and colored an actual drawing, so I can only post it here, so whoosh, let's revive this dead art topic, shall we? Here, have this.

The name is Haleia. MK and Mega should remember her, as she was my character for that Multiplayer Terraria server we had. MK mentioned drawing her (or whatever, I can't really remember, but he said something similar), so I felt like doing so. Players should recognize the Spectre Staff, Platinum Watch and Magic Dagger and other stuff I can't remember the name of. Everything else she is wearing is pretty much original content, only influenced by the 16-bit versions of the Spectre Armor/Cat Ears in game. Here are a couple of screenshots to see what I used to create it.

As you can notice, the style is very different to the one I used for the cards: less straight lines, anime/manga-like eyes and hair, more details, better colouring... Overall, more work were put in this picture than usual. I know there are a lot of flaws, like shading barely makes sense up here... Moon and scepter on the right but the light on the character comes from... the left? (that's because I added the Staff light later and it wasn't intended). The proportions are a bit off and the pose too, probably. I don't really know. I'm pleased with the eyes though, and that's important for me.

It's the second time I try this style, and I'm posting this one to get some criticism. So feel free to be honest. I personally like it quite a bit.

Also the background is just too make the picture a bit less boring. You don't really need to judge that. If I wanted I could have worked a lot more in it.

I'll probably update this topic a lot more in the near future, and completely revamp the first post.

The only jarring flaw for me is her right leg. It connects to her hip from a very odd angle, and realistically, I don't think it's possible to bend a leg that way. Other, less noticeable things are that she's a bit too thin, her feet don't seem to match(her left one is small) and her fingers don't appear connected to the hand from this perspective. Thinking from a 3 dimensional perspective, the bottom 1/3 of her fingers would be unnaturally thin.

As far as colors go, you're already pretty good with those, but I would have ditched the glowing outline just from the purple half. Against the blue sky the effect looks really nice, not so much against the purple forest(?).

Overall, it's decent though.
