Looks like your fine details and proportion skills are coming along nicely. Next up is learning more about posing. I present: Line of Action!
- Line of Action - Mickey's Christmas Carol This article does a really nice job of covering the subject as well as related concepts of composition, staging, negative and positive space, and the relationship between these lines and the emotion of the character.
- Quick Tip: The Line of Action, Make Your Character Poses More Dynamic! This one is much shorter, but touches on the volume of the character in the last few images.
It's funny, but in the beginning of learning to draw figures, you spend a lot of time learning about anatomy and proportion, and while that IS important, once you get to this step, many times the advice is to stop worrying about all that stuff and simplify and exaggerate, and to a certain extent, it works, because at this point, you've internalized all that anatomy understanding, and now is your chance to push that knowledge to it's limits, and see how subtly making it wrong can actually ENHANCE a picture.
Good luck!
