Would it be OK if I suggested a Studio Ghibli character? It's one of the only anime that I'm really attached too, even if it is a bit young for me.

I like Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart, personally. xD

Only render lighting has been done at the moment. 30 layers until now.

... Time for a double post. Another preview.

I'm just working on lighting in a way I've never done before, and would like some feedback on the current result.

The top one (first preview) has 30 layers and the bottom one (newer) has 68 (!)

(Something appears to have gone wrong with the border, but I'll fix that later.)

Wait, 68 layers? How long do your pieces usually take Falcon?

That's insane.

How can a small change add 38 layers?

Considering most sigbars, this is already WAY over the usual. Recent, nope.
Dark Toon Link was 100 and Sieghart was 75. Older sigbars, such as Kagamine Rin (below) and Kamek, took 43 and 39, respectively.

That's not really a small change.
The render is almost intact, but the background has had light and shadow greatly improved. If you take a look on every single one of the brighter and darker effects, that's quite a difference. This extreme amount of layers allows me to manipulate every single effect individually, considering that some of them demand more than just one layer.

By the way, bad news. I currently find myself with a pile of homework and studies to do due the exhausting Carnival break. I should only be able to continue working on Friday.
