Just as a reminder, all sigbars have no more than five layers. Raz's sigbar has 57, so any one of them will change A LOT if claimed.

EDIT: There you go.
Layers: 5 -> 113
Time: 3 or 4 hours

THE ART TOPIC IS CLOSED.
I have enrolled on a Summer course on England, and I won't be able to do anything until I come back, which will be on July 30th. Therefore, all requests will be delayed, without exceptions.

Wait, what? A new sigbar out of nowhere?

I just downloaded GIMP again for a netbook (2.8, while my other version is 2.6) and without a background, resources (brushes, gradients, effects like Bevel and Emboss) AND a mouse I had to pull up a sigbar with just a render in my hands.

That was the result. After just 46 layers.

Edit:
For some reason the previous preview didn't show up. Anyway, here's another one.

Moar editz.
(Don't tell anyone I posted this drawing here. I will explain more about it later.)

I looked at it and thought the same exact thing.

Bump.

...

The tests have been finally completed with my available resources. That one was quite the challenge, because of the new border style. Even I wasn't expecting such a good result, even though this is not quite what I have imagined for the sigbar.

First beta post:
Image
Total: 5
Final version:
Image
Signature layers: 132
Border layers: 91
Total: 223

Now, some explanation on the US project.

The objective consists on achieving a "hand drawn" banner, using a customized character and possibly a background, along with the new border style. The character featured on that sigbar will be that one, way above this post (but not that much) on that drawing which is not hidden on a spoiler. That specific drawing, however, was simply a test. Beta versions of it might be posted as usual, but they won't be announced at the topic title unlike the other ones.

And, of course, once the other one is finished, the current sigbar will also go to Claim Corner.

P.S. I can try to apply this new border style in requests as well, but that will multiply the time that they take.

THIS. Yes. This. Keep doing this.
These by far are my favourite signatures made by you.

Small update here.

I have received a sigbar request on another forum, and ended up inspiring myself in the 1-hour level challenge and made something rather... acceptable within 45 minutes. While most of my work takes countless layers, this one required a mere 41 layers.

Also, with the approach of holidays such as Halloween and Christmas, I could try to bring the Claim Corner back alive, through gathering enough renders to create some artwork in a short spree. It is a bit too ambitious, I know, but it should get me going for... the other project.

By the way... I've already collected quite a number of Vocaloid renders for the Halloween theme. And MLP renders, though in a moderate number, may also be accepted.
