MP3's Art Topic!

Requests are taken once again! Though you may have to bear with me, if you want an avatar or sig, you'll have to work around me. I'm only good at some types of art, if you ask me to do something out of my comfort zone (unless I'm up for a challenge) you may need to let me get some ideas for you and ya know, you can choose which you like best. :P

I will sometimes make sigbars for people if I have an idea, because I sometimes get big ideas for people like that, but I'll try not to make it too ugly. :D Though I do more WordArt stuff, transparency against images aren't my strong point, so I'll try my best. I don't expect this to be very popular - but I'll give it my best shot! :D

SumoPaint?I think that is a pro editing software.I would start with something simpler like Paint.NET.Paint.NET is still good and has transperency. :awe:

I already use some other stuff, but transparency is a weaker point. Most places have transparency with WordArt and images, but I'm really bad at transparency over other images. But I'll see how well I do this. :awe:

I recommend using GIMP. It's free, and has a variety of features. I know for certain you can do transparency on there.

In Paint.NET you have transparency with a Magic Wand (literally it's a tool).Even though GIMP is actually better than Paint.NET but more advanced.I didn't know GIMP was free. :/

All paint programs (except MS and maybe a few others) have the Magic Wand tool. And both Sumo and Gimp are free. I use Sumo for most of my drawing, Gimp for effects. For some effects I stay with Sumo. I recommend using both. You CAN use Paint.net if you really want, but I prefer the Sumo/Gimp combo.

Anyway, it'll be nice to see another member doing artwork. I'd like to see what you come up with. :P

Do not ever underestimate free programs.
I've created all my artwork with GIMP.

Taht also happened to me when I used it for the first time. It's only a matter of time (and a lot of patience) to master it.
