Yuri Draws Stuff

So, welcome to my art topic. As you can tell by the title, I'll draw things, and post them here.

Baobab: show

Something I drew in my classroom/bus when there was nothing to do. It's the first time I did some shading, but I guess it turned out well. Took some inspiration from Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for this one.

Beach: show

Again, drew this while I was bored. second attempt with shading, so this one's shading may be a bit better than the one above. I also took imspiration from Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze/Returns for this one (Guess I've been playing these games a lot).

spiky tree: show

Tried something a bit different for this one (aka, not taking inspiration from anywhere), and I think it turned out pretty well. This one may have a bit less detail than the two other ones, but it's because it's also significantly smaller.

nighttime "forest": show

Since I drew so many trees, I figured I could just do a forest. well, it's technically 3 trees but you get it. Also, this is my favorite work as of now... for a very special reason. :3

So yeah, this is it for now. I'll post more once I draw a bit more. Feeback is heavily appreciated as aways!

Oh look, Yuri can also draw!

The trunk of the baobab is maybe a bit thick, but it looks nice, the proportion between the trunk and the crown is very realistic.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Oh yeah, this is on purpose. Again, I was really influenced by DK Tropical Freeze, and made the trunks with this unrealistic proportions on purpose: Image

Wait what the heck is happening? Yuri drew something that's not a tree? :O

So yeah I was bored and then thought "hey what if I draw actual stuff that's not related to trees or rocks?" and then I drew these. I'll admit I actually like them. Maybe I'll draw some more detailed version of these later on.

Oh, don't mind the fact that I drew these with a pen btw
