I don't know about you guys but these rules are really dumb. Like, really dumb. I'll leave this sticked for revision at a later time, but these need to be fixed.
(i've never noticed these rules before)

I highly agree. These ought to be updated.

...also I never even read these, guess I wasn't missing much.

There ought to be more than just 2 rules saying "Here's an idea of what kind of art you can post".

I don't know what rules should be added exactly, but maybe proper artwork etiquette in regards to posting on other people's artwork like requests or critique or when's it proper to bump or double post on art topics maybe?

Whipped up a rough draft of a rules post in about 30 minutes

Posting Art
  1. USE EFFORT! You should always put your best effort into your work. Otherwise, there's not really very much point in posting it.
  2. ORIGINAL CONTENT ONLY. Don't steal or plagiarize. If you really feel the need to post someone else's work for some reason, give credit to the creator.
  3. ALL ART IS WELCOME. It doesn't matter what type of media your art uses, even if it can be disputed as to whether what you're posting is really art or not. It's all subjective anyway, and there's no reason to put restrictions on creativity.
  4. On threads: You can have as many threads for your work as you want (though it's preferred if you keep it to a minimum), as long as they're not redundant. You can also bump your own thread and double-post in it as much as you want in the art forums, since it's your content and you're welcome to update it as frequently as you deem necessary. It's also perfectly acceptable to simply abandon an old art thread of yours if you want to start anew with a fresh thread.

Commenting on Others' Art
  1. BE HELPFUL. Constructive criticism is strongly encouraged. Praise/compliments are fine, suggestions for improvement are great. Insults and personal attacks are not.
  2. On requests: Creators will usually say whether they're currently taking requests or not somewhere in their thread (or in the title/subtitle). If they don't have it listed, just ask.
  3. On posting in general: Bumping is fine if you're commenting on someone's work. However, bumping just for the sake of "pls post more art" or "when are you going to finish my piece" is not necessary and would be handled better via PM. Double-posting is generally discouraged if you're just posting general comments within a short time span, since you can just use the big shiny EDIT button in the top-right corner of your post instead. If you feel what you have to say is relevant/significant and a simple edit just won't suffice (i.e. it's been a couple of weeks/months since the last post [aka it's basically a bump]), then go ahead and double-post. It's not a big deal.

Is it against the rules to draw nudity, gore, violence, or anything else that may be disgusting or child inappropriate?

I feel like that's somewhat unfair and censoring even if it makes sense. Is there a way we can link away from it or have age-appropriate nsfw tags?

I like the idea of nsfw tags. It would certainly allow more freedom in interests and more freedom in expressing emotions through art.

that's kind of my problem with it, that art that's risque is only there for the D. I think it's a part of expression, and certainly can be in writing.
