A - Thought as much, and all the better, at any rate. I hope other contests use this style as well.
B - Worst comes to worst, a second contest with a similar style can be held in August in case anyone misses the first, or something like that. Two is better than one, after all. ;)


Edit: One more thing, now that I think of it: do checkpoints count as tricks? They just involve a sign (for instruction) and a properly placed pipe, and most platformers do have checkpoints anyways.

What!? Can I at least use the code to manually insert more words onto a sign? You don't have to scroll or anything. It's just that when you type on the signs in LD it stops you early on in your message, even though when you play the level the sign is only 10% full with text. :/

I'm in. Back to the basics... Or rather, to the basics for the first time. This one might be hard to overdo, and at the same time not.

So... just to make sure I'm absolutely clear on this... we're supposed to make a level that looks and plays like a level you could find in New Super Mario Bros, with a few added restrictions? Cause if so, and bosses are out, and I hate you. :lol:
