20th Level Designer Contest

Something I noticed, but many people are doing FlashBack levels. Two of them include Temporal, two of them Throwback, two of them 1-1, our series with MP3 can be a bit more original because it has a story but basically same idea, and Harmless make some Nostalgia World.

So to summarize, out of 13 levels, only 3 (SMIC, Cyvern and Kirb) are original REGARDING THE TITLE. I don't know the content. But when I look at the title, 10 levels out of 13 are FlashBack levels.

Though the theme doesn't say "Mario's Memories". That may pay in the judging.

Also just how many people are entering this LDC? o_O

And Star, although our series has the hint of tribute/flash back to old Mario games, it's mainly about beginning a new kind of adventure game. Our story doesn't base all around it either like it was going to originally, we just invented an item that creates flash backs.

Plus I'm thoroughly surprised that no-one chose the more obvious level idea that I had to begin with.

Well, I bet this LDC is going to be the best one yet (because I'm making a leve*is shot*). I just want to wish you all good luck and to put their 100% to make a good level. This is the 20th contest! Don't dissapoint Mario! See you in the vault.

And mine has a secret element that completely distinguishes it from the others, so watch out.

And i thought we could base it off a mario game?

Jung, the entire purpose of the theme is basing your level off a Mario game.
