Solution: No more participating judges. Only judges with no entry in the contest.

This would be wonderful, but unlikely. Judges need to have an interest in the contest, or else they have no motivation to complete their reviews within a reasonable period. And usually, the people with an interest in the contest submit a level of their own. :p I would suggest PMing all entries to an unbiased middleman (read: anyone trustworthy who didn't participate in the contest) who would record then remove all references to the creators before passing the entries onto a panel of judges. This way, only the middleman knows who made what- no bias, since he would not be a judge. The judges would be chosen normally except for one small difference, there would be no fill-ins. Judges simply do not rate their own submission, so with a panel of four, the judges would receive only three reviews. This prevents a fill-in from giving that fourth rating and inadvertently shifting the scores by being harsher/more lenient. When judging is done the scores would be counted, and then the middleman would release who submitted what to the host before results were posted.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather have three consistent reviews than three consistent reviews plus one rated significantly harsher for the judges that needed that fourth opinion.

In the case of the 25th LDC, it was because we didn't have a fourth judge for judges and.one of the three judges was considerably harsher than the rest.

Explain. How would I improve if you didn't explain? You can't just dismiss it as "wonky",you should tell me what I could improve on.

Also,it shouldn't be a "fact",it's an opinion.

...

And that's why I should never make short entries.

This is one of three main reasons why I originally wanted to be a judge in the LL Mini-LDC. Because I knew somebody needed to try and scrutinize the everliving daylights out of it. I'm sure I could've been better, but I tried. I even do that whenever I'm on the portal if I can help it.. The other reasons are that LL lags way less than SM63 and I have more interest in LL than SM63.

More coherency, more intuitive design, slightly less obscurity (disabled transitions are not very fun at all)
