1st Official Last Legacy Level Designer Contest
Rules of submission:
DEADLINE: December 14th, midnight (forum time).
- Level series are allowed, but no more than 3 levels.
- It’s not a rule to fit the theme, but a large portion of your score depends on how well it fits the theme.
- Keep submissions PG-13, so that the competition stays appropriate for a larger audience.
- You may collaborate, but you must credit all people who helped on your submission.
How the submissions will be scored:
There will be 3 categories to earn points in:
Gameplay (10 points, 40%)
This will be evaluated by how fun the level is. Gameplay can also be affected by the following:
- Are checkpoints spaced out fairly throughout the level?
- Are tri-coins (squares) distributed nicely through the level?
- Does your level use splitters well? Is it separated into pieces to reduce lag?
- How well does the level perform on a slow pc in a browser?
Design (10 points, 40%)
How well your level fits in with the contest theme as well as how good the graphics are.
Misc (5 points, 20%)
For anything that doesn’t fit into the other categories. Some judges will add a point here for good music choice. This is also where you get points for doing some that is above and beyond what is expected. For instance, if you make something incredible using triggers, you may get a few bonus points here.
And finally, the theme for this contest is:
Space so that it stays dramatic.

Yes, that’s right. The timing I decided to start the competition was too close to Halloween for me to resist. Try to come up with something that makes the player feel fear in your level. Suspense and not knowing what will happen next will get you extra points.
Submit your entries to the vault!
The competition ends on December 14 (that's right it has been moved). Extensions may be considered for rare cases.
Judges have not been decided yet.
This is an official Last Legacy Level Designer Contest. Any winning level will have the chance to be featured in Chapter 2 or other future editions of Last Legacy.
