Does no one realize that these are two completely separate problems now? The first one has yet to resolve completely but I can see it's mostly done. Magnen, you along with MegaR were probably most mature and I like to think we specifically settled whatever problems we had in Xalos. Nan, you already apologized to Raz according to our steam chat. Xero I don't mind because he said he was roleplaying, and quite frankly, being eliminated first would mean he would have a problem with everyone, which he doesn't; I actually think some of us need to apologize to him for thinking it was solely self-confidence (many people argued that it more that he was apathetic about the challenge, which I can believe).
I doubt we'll get anything from Peter for quite awhile, which is sad seeing as he started the thread I was most appalled with, Bomberman, you most definitely have things you need to come to terms with, and I won't say what specifically, but I get that you probably need time to cool off (you most definitely had the most emotional game) and that's understandable.

But.
What does this have to do with playing dirty? He's saying you guys didn't do well, and that's his perception of you. How in the hell are we throwing ♥♥♥♥ at you, when so far two posts total have stated that opinion? You're generalizing us as much as you thought we were generalizing you guys, Harmless.

Read. Comprehend. Words mean different things. In real life, a teacher would tell you "you didn't do well," not "you're a loser," or "you suck." You'd feel different with each phrase wouldn't you? Then what's different here? The fact that he's Brando? Someone who usually ♥♥♥♥♥ around but took time to write out a thoughtful post with thoughtful words for the sole sake of trying not to offend anyone? What sense does that make?

I want this to be resolved as soon as possible, but now I'm thinking you guys need to have grudges first and settle it later (even though details will be forgotten and not everything will be resolved). Still not locking this because it hasn't devolved into flaming, and I doubt it will, and I have (diminishing) faith that everyone here can act mature and use mature words and overall be mature.

I'm mainly looking at you Harmless. Refuting is fine, but Brando didn't even fight back with anything serious and Raz has an even softer opinion than he, and his is simply a misinterpretation. I don't see why you need to keep going on. It's criticism about the game. Either take it or leave it. Not all critics are right. I don't take all of the criticism I get either. That's fine. But just leave it at that then.

Now, for a completely separate topic, I want to be inclined to agree with you Xero, but being silly with your friends is part of who you are. It would be unnatural, especially for the friend, if you started acting differently in public. And if Raz should restrict himself to screwing around solely with friends, shouldn't Nan be reprimanded for telling Moy his challenges are terrible with the full knowledge that, as the owner of that freeforum, he can see it and will see it? All people need to do is justify why they are exaggerating something or doing something silly. Actually, as friends, it should be our responsibilities to justify their actions when we know they're kidding and we know other people might not know. Didn't I do that? Or did someone need to justify what I was doing as well, whatever horrendous thing I must have done to get on whoever's bad side I got on?

EDIT: A quick mention of Yurimaster, who I think stayed cool the entire game. Thank you.

To clarify, I was saying that of Nan. Fair enough though. I see where you're coming from. I'm inclined to agree with you since you've brought up a good counter point.

While their word choice might be a bit sketchy in my opinion, I can see where brando and Raz are coming from. Harmless, I think you're overreacting a bit. You guys only know your side of the story. Save your anger for Super Hexagon or something that actually matters. Super Hexagon... that'll really make ya crazy.

Okay. I'm just going to be bluntly honest here as to why I really deleted what I said:

After I posted it, I started thinking: "Wait. I'm not even a part of this thread, and I'm already jumping in just to complain about something that has already been discussed? I'll probably be judged for it."
Then I quickly went to delete my post, but my internet connection wouldn't let me open it for a few minutes. :/ When I saw Raz's post, I felt a little embarrassed, so I made an excuse to [here] cover up my wrong so I wouldn't look as bad.

Sir, I may not have used that many words, or that many curses, but I could've sworn I said something similar at some point during this whole mess. MoD's pointed out this is a game that brings out the worst in people. Honestly, if the prize is what set this off, then let it be that if they ever do this again, it would be for nothing real. The thing is, people were sacrificing time from real life from the sounds of it. They wanted to get something out of this, because they felt they deserved. Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong on that. Real life should not be sacrificed for a game if you ask me. I have issues with that myself. However, as such, I know exactly what that can do to people. Second, I have a hunch these people started to feel entitled since they were spending real life on it. Entitlement is a cancer that will kill. If I'm right about both of these about anybody in particular, then I have a feeling I know exactly what happened here.

Edit: While I was going to respond to JJJ... Screw it, I'm leaving this here, because this theory of mine might still hold water.

I highly doubt the prize is what proved people wrong more than the fact that they were voted out or simply that the outcome wasn't how they wanted it to be. Or most likely, just misunderstandings that probably wouldn't have been cleared if people didn't listen in the first place and stopped. Yes, i'm implying the continued "fighting," if you will, was a good thing. It helped see everyone's side and understand them more, as clearly just seeing the forums won't help you see everything.

Also I totally feel entitled that I proved most people wrong and I was probably one of the nicest members in the entire game, while also playing honest. 8-)
That's not a common thing in Survivor, just have this run through your head.

I should rephrase that, unjust entitlement is a cancer. You, at least you've somewhat earned it from the sounds of it. If you've earned something, then feeling entitled should only be natural. These people weren't at the end yet, so, technically, they hadn't earned it yet. As such, any feeling of entitlement would've been unjust and that's poison.

Postby MessengerOfDreams » June 13th, 2014, 12:37 pm

So while I wrap up Survivor: Runouw season 1's recaps, I am making preparations for Season 2. I will require sixteen new players, if you will.

I'm awaiting the logo, but the theme is:

Survivor: Yoshi's Island!

16 new players will set sail for the shores of colorful Yoshi's Island! On the shores where the seasons constantly change and many different tribes of species call home, the Akiva and Mikairfo tribes will face off against each other. However, tribal boundaries guarantee nothing in a new twist that could leave change in the powers of the player. Bring a friend and join along with us! The game will start in early July.

Here's the app.

Name:
Country/Time Zone:
Do You Know Survivor?:
Have You Read my Recaps or Know What to Expect?
What Brought You To This Game?:
How Do You Plan to Win?:
What Do You Do For Fun?:
Which Runouwian Would You Most Want to be Stranded on a Deserted Island With, and Why?:
What's Been Your History with Runouw?:
What Kind of Character Do You Think You'll Bring To The Table?:
Anything Else You'd Like to Add to Your Pitch to Be a Contestant?:

What I'm debating is this: do I have you play for money again, or have we learned enough from the last time not to let it get too ugly over the money? Keep in mind whoever wins will probably have a lengthy wait until they get the money. (Ven you should expect yours come next month).

I also am unsure if I can do nearly as extensive a recaps but I do wanna keep y'all drawn in to the game.

I'm not casting returning players until if we get to season 5, but I will be casting for those all through seasons 1-4, or wherever we end.
