It's only a tryout though, guys. The whole point was to see which would be better. I now have to agree I prefer the vault system too, but at least we tried something new.

I prefer the Vault system. Sure, some members will get intimidated by the other levels because of them being better, and maybe even discouraging them to enter the LDC, but in the other side, this can even motivate this them to improve their levels, making his level get a higher position, and maybe even winning a medal.

But in the other side, in the vault system, I dislike the fact that there were some people who made their levels adapted to some judges's styles, giving this person a higher score. So, maybe we could keep only the judges anonymous, but keep the Vault system, just like in the 20th LDC.

In my opinion, this might cause bias. I'd don't like the way all the current LDCs are being held because of allowing participating judges and knowing who are the entrants and vice versa.

What Yuri said is exactly what happened to me in the 18th LDC. I'd never won a medal alone so I was obviously nervous and all the legends were joining the contest. The reason I did so well (I think) is because I played Dark while making my levels and realised the kind of quality I needed to put in and my graphics improved a lot because of that. Things were never the same after that. :S

But yeah, I prefer the vault system, it's worked for every LDC since the 14th, which is when it was first used. It's just easy to find the levels and we can go and see the progress for ourselves. However that doesn't mean I don't like this system at all- I mean, I love the fact we have no idea who's going to win.

MP3 EDIT: Btw Dtroid, I don't think it really matters whether or not you know who made the levels. Some people's styles just stand out really obviously. But I respect what you're saying, I can understand why you think the judges will be biased but personally I've never been biased, I've always been honest with my reviews.

You don't know who the judges are before the deadline, anyway, so there is no way one can make a level to please a judge.

IMO it should be kept at it is. Judges are anonymous until it is too late to edit your level, the vault allow entrants and others to play levels from other participants, and it allows people like me to make fancy posts. Plus seeing others' levels motivate me. The vault system was fine, the new one tries to fix an important issue, granted, but also has many disadvantages. Keep the vault.

I think that if we want to solve the potential of "rigging" then "not having judges who made a level for the contest" will suffice. I can tell an Amp, StarK, or Volk level quite easily, so that doesn't matter.

After some consideration,I'll mostly sit on the fence about this matter, but still slightly prefer the current system.

But I strongly, strongly disagree on allowing participating judges.

Why? Are you worried they're going to vote everyone else down so they can win? I don't think it's fair to look at it like that, the judges are picked because they are trustworthy. Look at MoD, judges the LDCs he enters, and yet he gives some people 18/19 scores. Does that mean he doesn't want anyone else to win? And I gave my highest ever score in the LDC I entered.

Sorry if I seem a bit sharp, I don't mean to be, but I strongly disagree with not trusting the judges if they've participated. If you're worried about the scores you've been getting then maybe that's just something you can practice on, but I doubt anyone's gone out of their way to make sure you or others lose to them.

MP3 EDIT: God I can be so ♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes lol. Sorry for the difference in opinion Dtroid. :S
