Now hold up. Who voted for you does not determine whether or not you get the award. How many posts you have does not determine if you get the award. And when you joined does not determine it as well. You have just as much a chance as someone who joined the day of nomination.

Best New Member means someone who is just newly recognized and is becoming more active. It means someone who is starting to come out of the shadows. Yes, you joined on the 21st, bravo. But does that mean anything? In honesty I think you just wanted the award, hence you're getting pissed. You might have just been posting to get said award, which does not do jack. Quality>Time>Quantity

As stated, lose the arrogance, it will not make you very popular in the long run.

Well then it was a huge misunderstanding, I'm sorry for this, but really, what do you imagine under the words "Best New Member" if you're not enlightened? If you really also include returning members, then call it something like "Best New or Returning Member" or "Best Upcoming Member".

Anyways, life goes on. Congraz to all winners.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Wow thanks. I don't think I was deserving of those medals as much as the other people in the category, but I still appreciate it none-the-less.
Clearly people don't go on the chat (or more specifically the skype as of late) enough to see Brando/Foru were the true winners of that medal.
Congrats too all others in the other categories.
Also, Ven and I discussed the GoR thing if it did win, and decided that only the people who worked the most on the map get the medal. (Nin, Me, Ven, and Azn IIRC)

Uh, okay? I don't want to come across as desparately digging for a medal or something (I really don't care that I didn't win anything, I probably wouldn't have noticed this had you not mentioned it) and I reaaallly don't want to start one of these stupid arguments again (I don't even know what I was trying to argue for in half of them now), but for a group award, it's not really fair to not give credit to everyone involved, even if I might not have done the most work out of everyone. I worked quite a bit on at least three or four areas for sure (earth, air, spawn, stronghold), so I don't see how I'm not included in that list lol. I don't know about kevin and whoever else because I wasn't there for much of that, but I'm pretty sure he did a decent bit as well. Might not have worldpainted/edited, but I did a hell of a lot for that world, including a lot of ideas, planning, and building. Just saying. :p
I guess if you've already finalized it then go right ahead. It's just annoying to not be given recognition for something I clearly had a significant part in.

Well I don't think it's fair to give people involved in the way I was (read: just playing on the server) because playing on a server is not Medal-worthy. But people who actually contributed to getting the server right should get something.

Obviously people wh only played and didn't help with the actual map aren't getting medals. I don't care who gets medals for it, we just thought that someone would complain about so many people getting medals.

Omg did i actually win something

I'm genuinely surprised... I was not expecting to win any category.. o_O
I was getting ready to prepare my good loser post. But I'm happy with this c: And tbh I'm happy with the fact I got second and third in every other category too. Very very honoured, thank you guys. I guess another shared medal for us MoD, woo. :3
