You know MoD, losing points for placing 1-ups that where absolutely not meant to be hidden and because the judge is so one-dimensionally thinking that 1-ups always have to be hidden if you place them ... that's like an absolutely clear penalty not being given by the referee. Same with the deduction for the signs being disabled. There's a difference between critique and statements that have absolutely nothing to do with reality.

I mean, what the ♥♥♥♥ shall I do? If I make a hard, challenging, interesting level, there will be judges who say it's frustrating and impossible; if I give instructions on how to beat the level, I'll get a comment like "if a level requires you to write a walkthrough then something's wrong with it", and if I make an easy-peasy level, judges will complain about it being too easy and boring and not having any relevant gameplay.

EDIT: MoD you've also had that attitude you're accusing me for, even though it was a bit far back (first mini-LDC, 2012)

... Hold on a sec.

The first thing occasionally happened to you. That's something I don't have control of. I've experienced this in Dimension Infinity, and Triple J also stated something about this in his level "After the Storms". For the second one ... errm, FLUDD? That was totally intentional. And for the third one, each level starts exactly where the previous one ended, but also every level has a STAGE CLEAR sign at the end, so what's the purpose on saying STAGE CLEAR again when the stage is about to start?

THIS COMING FROM THE PERSON WHO MADE THE LEVEL IN THE FIRST PLACE???

Supershroom, I never knew this much BS could come out of you. I'm sorry, but do you have any idea what you're saying with this??

Learn to take responsibility for what you make, jesus christ. That's like the designer of apple smartphones saying 'oh, this glitch that is in our phones is totally caused by the people that use them. Has nothing to do with how we programmed the phone'.

Anyways, I'm done arguing with you Supershroom. I can't believe I even went out of my way to say what I said as Yurimaster or another Level Mod/Glomod/Forum mod is probably going to need to intervene again. But regardless, I would like to humbly request that you stop feeling justified in the concept that you're 'deserving to win' and stroking your arrogance with every post.

It is helping NO ONE in trying to be friends with you and letting you be part of our community. Being self-confident is one thing, pressuring your arrogance on others is a completely separate thing that is, in general, a pretty bad move to make if you're trying to fit in a community. There's a reason we love Star King - He's self confident and yet he still loves us back, and doesn't entitle himself as being the 'top-notch member of level designing' as a reason to pressure us to 'correct our scores'.

Oh, and I did NOT enjoy those PM's you sent me before the LDC was over with you questioning my judging capabilities. If you have even read my judgings while paying attention to what I'm saying, you'd probably notice I'd give a reason if any critiques were not already self-explanatory. Saying my judgings are not justified or are out of my own fault when I give valid reasons is jumping the gun.

But in any case, I'm done adding fuel to the fire. Good day.

On a brighter note;

Ugh...I can't believe this is hard.

Y'know, I personally have trouble making difficult levels. It's just quite hard for me to make a level that is difficult but not frustrating. Probably because I have a mindset when I'm designing that ends up making my levels easy, but meh. We should do a collab next LDC - I think we can take the world by storm. ;)

Agreed. Though we should probably roll with this in PM. Don't wanna spam the LDC thread :P

also I know I said I would stop but I really, really need to get a point across, because what shroom just edited really is not right;

but let's not forget when you accused me a few months ago in the dueling arena;

Just stop it supershroom. MoD was a ♥♥♥♥♥ a few years ago. That's not today.

You are a bully now.

Please don't let this turn into a flame war and such. This was a nice, competitive LDC and I really just wanna keep it that way >-<

I know you're mad Harmless, but I think the best thing in situations like these is just to ignore it. We all know that LDCs aren't really LDCs if they don't come with their drama and their arguments here and there. And also still try not to double post just cuz there's a 10 minute gap between those two posts.

But anyways. I would absolutely be over the moon if my tiny level placed well in WITBLO15, but I still wanna make something much bigger and ambitious so I have a chance at winning it this year. I feel like the only person in the top 5 in the tier list who hasn't won a WITBLO, or if not won a WITBLO, then placed 2nd at least. I wanna earn my spot idk :3

Alright, alright. Do any of you guys remember that ANYONE WHO STARTS A FLAME WAR ON THIS LDC WILL GET INSTANTLY WARNED?

Yes, that it is. Stop this discussion now, or else this situation will be handled.

It is to be expected to see a specific amount of drama here and there. But ignoring it like always is definitely no solution if it's pointing to actual problems.
And as long as these things persist, it will continue forever and ever, until a solution is found.
Wether it calms down until the next LDC or not, doesn't play much of a role. Especially as we've got enough judges around, who will keep continuing this ♥♥♥♥.

Both late, and just the freezer (pun intended) we need to conserve the problem until next time.
And now that you mention it. I forgot that I should actually get warned for kind of starting this.

Indeed, it's sad that this LDC went so smoothly and nicely until the results, and then this needs to happen. It's really a huge inner conflict in me between wanting to complain about things that are absolutely not alright, and not wanting to be a primadonna.

FrozenFire wrote:Alright, alright. Do any of you guys remember that ANYONE WHO STARTS A FLAME WAR ON THIS LDC WILL GET INSTANTLY WARNED? Yes, that it is. Stop this discussion now, or else this situation will be handled.

Apart from that this was only set up because of me, this is real ♥♥♥♥. I mean, conflicts are allowed and must be allowed as long as they happen in an orderly manner. Warnings are only justified once somebody becomes personally hurtful by namecalling or excessive language or such, or flames otherwisely. According to that, I'm totally clean.

Speaking of which, Harmless' last three posts have truly been offensive for me.
