Actually, if you just accepted the judgings and worked on the criticism, then everyone wins. Your levels will improve, therefore your scores will improve, therefore you'll be more likely to place because you won't make the same level designing mistakes. Then the judges won't get offended by your attitude, and you'll see that the level designing scene
doesn't have a personal vendetta against you.
You need to accept that there will always be negative of some sort amongst the positive, no matter how much of a masterpiece the level is. It's going to be extremely unlikely to get a perfect score in an imperfect level designer, there will always be something. Try changing your mindset- instead of taking the criticism and the lower scores personally or as an insult to your ability, take it as a compliment. That person has given you grounds to improve upon, if they really didn't care about your skill or ability and truly wanted you to fail, then they wouldn't have told you how to do better in the future. Simple as.
And this is still only your third LDC, in my third LDC I was placing 7th and below.
