29th Level Designing Contest
Spectator: But... How does a Level Designing Contest work?
Glad you asked, spectator! Let me explain everything below:

Basics
First of all, you must know what an LDC is, right? An LDC is a contest, where we give a theme and a deadline for you to make a level, and then your level will compete with other levels made with the same time and theme as well.
Your level then, will receive an score from people that we call Judges. Those people will give an score from 1 to 20 to your level, and then the levels that got the highest scores from judges, will win the LDC, and gain a Medal or a Ribbon to display on your profile!
The 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place will gain Medals:

And the 4th place, 5th place, and 6th place will gain Ribbons:

Awesome, right? So, you might be wondering, what is the theme you must follow for this contest?
So, with no delay, I present you:

Yup, that's right, grasslands! A very open theme indeed. You can make mountains, fields, forests, or hay, even underground grasslands! The only limit is your imagination!
Spectator: But, how will judging work? What must I watch out for in my level?
Judging
As I said before, your level will be judged by a total of 4 people, and receive an score from 1 to 20 from them. Then we will average the scores, and announce the winners. But judges don't simply judge a level with an score. They judge using specific categories. Here are the categories the judges will look for in your level:
Gameplay: 10 points out of 20
This category judges how the playstyle of your level is. Is your level fun, or is it frustating? Is there something innovative in your level, or is it boring? Is it a puzzle, a story, or a platformer? If so, is it well executed?
Scenery: 5 points out of 20
This category judges the scenery of your level. Is your level beautiful, or is it really ugly? Is the decoration well placed, or are there floating items everywhere? Did you place the tiles in a beautiful way, or do they look plain boring?
Miscellaneous: 5 points out of 20
This category judges everything else about your level that was not included in the two categories above. In this category, you start with 3 points, and then the judges will add or take points for things you have done right or wrong.
Is there lag, or spam in your level? Is there too much loading time? Is there a really nice detail the judges liked about your level?
This time, people won't be allowed to apply for judging. I'll send messages to people I want to judge, instead.
Spectator: Ok then. Is there anything else I must follow?
Rules
These, are some rules you must follow, like everywhere else in this forums. Some were already mentioned, but I'll give you a reminder below:
- Your level must fit with the theme, otherwise, it will not be judged.
- Your level must be finished within the deadline. Extensions will only be given in special cases.
- You can make level series. However, level series can only have a maximum amount of 3 levels.
- Collaborations with other members are allowed! However, collaborations are limited to two people.
- Don't swear on your levels, or have any kind of profanity on them! There are children who play Super Mario 63 too!
- Only levels posted in the vault will be judged.
- Any sight of flaming, spamming or conflict inside the LDC will result in an instant warning.
Extensions: MessengerOfDreams and Star king / NanTheDark and FrozenFire until April 12th 23:59 PST
Here's the Standalone Level Designer for you to design your levels,
And here's the Level Vault, where you must post your levels to participate.
And with this, I'm off. If you still have any question, post below and we'll do our best to help you! Good luck!
