...?

Did some of my level code just get messed up? I went through my level one more time and it was not the same as last time. Cutscenes froze out of nowhere, the battle cameras were completely different, and the level just seems weird...

edit: Actually, it turns out Screen texts freeze the game since they don't appear if the time control trigger is set at 0%. Of course this happens when I run out of time to playtest my level.

If you want to fix it, PM FF or something. Vault closed.

Omfg. I also confused the deadline as well.

Lucky enough, FF gave me the permission to do at least a very few essential edits towards 9:00 AM, which should always be the regular deadline (cuz 23:59 PST, sleep etc.). So yeah. Let the judgings begin.

EDIT: At least the normal route can be definitely done. If you don't go the wrong way, one path will have you trapped, that I've confused around ... just respawn then. You can still win it. The entirely fixed version will be on the portal soon, so you can at least compare. Derp :>

EDIT2: Bonus challenge not possible. Sorry. Ignore it or bash me, whatever.

Thank you, FF.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Did anyone order some contest results? <3

Hoo-ee. Man, after finally doing one of these results things myself, my respect for contest hosts has increased a hundred times over. Ordering all those scores into nice tables, keeping your numbers straight, double checking and then triple checking the math... it's a tough job. And I got an easy time of it too, with only five entrants. Y'all better go out and give your contest hosts a big... hug... Wait a minute, what happened to our real host, FrozenFire?

Well, you fine folks have been waiting long enough, so I'll cut to the chase. Frozen's , and couldn't make it here tonight. Nah I'm joking, he's just having some technical difficulties that might persist for a while, so he asked me to organize and post the results on his behalf. I'm not after his job and honestly, if I ever see another results table again in my life, it'll be too soon. Anyway, without further ado...

In first place, with a score of :

Congrats man, enjoy your shiny new medal. <3 But just because first place is taken, doesn't mean we don't have more medals. Because we do. Hopefully. Next up...

In place, with a score of :

Let's give them a big round of applause!

Wait, that level and/or user doesn't exist?

Well you guys are no fun. Time for the real results now, lawl. Actually in first place, with a respectable and not at all /randomtext'd score of 41.97/50... Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for the one,

the only,

the LEGENDARY...

Karyete!
with his frankly incredible entry
Carmine Temple!

Congrats Karyete! You made a heck of a level, and deserve your shiny new medal. All jokes aside, since there were so few entrants, I'll just skip right ahead to the results table. Just because I didn't mention you specifically above doesn't mean I don't still love you- we might've lacked a little in turnout this time around, but the entries are strong as ever, and I'd seriously suggest everyone checks them out. Congrats to everyone who submitted something, and I sincerely hope seeing these masterpieces inspires everyone to do strange and wonderful things in the future.

As is custom, judges will post their own reviews shortly. (But if they don't after a few days I've got 'em as well.)

I've triple and quadruple checked my math but there still might be errors. It's my first time doing this and it gets pretty confusing really fast, so please don't take these scores as gospel truth until FrozenFire or someone more in the know can confirm them.
