So, I'll get straight to it. Me and Shroom had this little gem of a conversation recently. Rather than just keep it with staff, I discussed with a couple of people (no direct names) and agreed that you all need to see it. Not only that, but you're highly encouraged to post your opinion on the matter.

What do I think? I think that, despite everything, Shroom will not change. I've tried so hard to be nice, and to convince him that maybe his opinion isn't always correct, and that he's causing more trouble than is necessary. No change whatsoever. He receives a three-month ban to think about his wrongdoings? No change whatsoever. It's pretty obvious that Shroom is on some damn thin ice, and yet he still posts things like this, like that's not going to come across as another subtle staff jab. Despite everything, he still acts like his opinions are hard facts, and how everybody is leaping at his throat. I mean, it's totally not possible he's pushed everyone beyond their limits, right? And I'm going to quote from that discussion, and let you guys make your own judgments:

Shroom, please. You're really hurting the community with all of this. You might think you're helping, but maybe it's time you start looking at things from a different perspective. And if you really want to help the community, you really need to start rethinking the way you're acting.

I also want it to be clear. We've given you chances. Karyete thought you were worth having another chance. Personally I think maybe you're just misunderstanding things and could probably turn around, I don't know. But if you are going to make a change, it better be quick.

I just can't say how disgusted I am to hear this. It's like, every effort, every talk you have with a person to make them understand that maybe, just maybe, they need to empathize a little bit more with other people's opinions, has automatically drowned in the ocean with no hope of returning. I can't even sense a person in you there, Shroom, you're just acting like a robot, deadset on what you need to do, becasue you think everything you think is right, everything you do is right, without EVER considering other people's opinions on it.

It just has not been comfortable having you around, observing, having you policy ever decision, every action both Staff and normal users makes. That's why I stepped down, because I realized it was just not worth it to talk with you with the hope that maybe you'd listen to me. And even after all of the things you have been through, all of the warnings, all of the bans, all of the times where people call you out, you still act like this. And heck, it's still so clear to know that you still think the same about us, even when it's not on Runouw. I've never seen a person with this much hate.

Dude. You've broken Staff apart. You've broken the chat mornings on the Discord server apart, because you can't help yourself to not bring something to complain about. You've been ruining everything I used to enjoy and still am enjoying about this site. I can pretty much understand how does the other people who quit feel now.

And if you're not going to change, I don't want to have you around like this anymore.

Is this the right time for me to finally say "I told you so"? Hate (read: love) to be so blunt about it, but it's true. Warn me for this if you must. Does it matter in the end? What's life without breaking a few rules now and then... Although I certainly wouldn't advocate breaking so many site, social, and moral rules as Shroom has done.

Y'know, with the whole egotism, self-entitlement, complete and utter lack of empathy, superiority complex, hypocrisy, twisting of evidence (the last two of which I've been accused of doing by Shroom, but both of which I can quite easily and far more reasonably [i.e. with far more evidence] turn back on him -- see: the entire pastebin, also see: the entire past 12 months of forum and chat history), and all that... And that's not to mention the mountains of flaming, backseat moderating, ignoring moderator requests... Ohoho. This is quite possibly the most damning evidence I've seen yet that Shroom is the very paragon of all such behaviours. I know you'd like to think I'm satisfied, but really, it's just disgusting.

I have no further comment, because I'm done wasting my time on Shroom, with all I've done to try to help him and all the anger and frustration and stress he's caused me (and how many others?) in return; and besides, I'm not staff anymore. But I'm especially curious as to what others have to say; please, let's hear as many opinions on this as possible... It might be a good learning experience for all.

Usually after a ban people are actually supposed to change or they should ♥♥♥♥ off forever. Instead, not only have you not changed, you are actively scaring me with how egotistical you are. No one has actually stayed the same when let back to this site, but I did not fathom that anyone, ANYONE, could get worse. Your opinion of yourself has exploded beyond the bandwidth of the site and I am very, very done with it. You provide good things to LDing (the part I actually am involved with) but at the expense of a lot of negativity. You provide all of the drama over judging at a point where people are being very nice to you because they were also nice to others and call for impartiality when everyone, YOURSELF INCLUDED, is very partial. You attack people who had your back because they weren't nice enough when they are bending over backwards for you. I'm not one of them. I don't care if I have to get a new judge or if I have to stand up to actual mods to be heard. If I were an actual mod, you would be permanently banned. The drama you are causing everywhere is making everyone sick.

Well Shroom, it's about time this happened. You have been banned before, two times now. What did change from then to now? NOTHING. You stand by your egoistic behavior, you continue to harass staff and judges from LDC, and yet, you still think you are too good for the community. You want to be staff just so things go your way, and yet you insist new members need you. You want to treat level designing objectively, as if it has a formula, and wants everyone to adopt your line of thought. You want members to act through your conduct, because YOU want them to. You don't care if people are having fun or are enjoying the site, if it is not your way, you will simply discard it as invalid.
There are things you are doing that would have other members permabanned months ago. The PM you sent me. In case you don't know, it is flaming. As well as constantly promoting yourself as staff, calling the staff biased. That's backseat moderating, and more. I feel now obligated to post the PM you sent me here. Say what you may, but that, + Kary's conversation was downright offensive, and it marked the point I no longer can stand to take you seriously, or have a proper conversation with you. You are outright calling people dumb and wrong because they don't agree with you, and you want to get away with it. Unless you change your behavior (which I really, really doubt will happen, because if it hasn't happened until now), I stand for you being permabanned.

After all, if your knowledge is too good for this site, you might as well do yourself and us a favor and go away. I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude right now but I am seriously frustrated by this whole situation. I have tried to understand you. I failed. I don't have hopes on you anymore.

It's both helpful and ironic to think of it as a round-the-clock April Fools.
Arguments aside, I'm pretty sure nearly everyone who's been here, active and retired alike, has done way better or at the very least as good as a job than I could ever hope to do on their respective roles, especially so the higher-ups.
I say if he actually thinks he has that much hindered potential, then his sticking around isn't of much use after all, both for him and for us. Thus, you may bring out the big hammer.

Hopefully this topic rattles around in your brain. You've insulted a lot of people, people who are generally mild mannered, and even with all I can say I know enough about insults to know that these can't be undone easily. You have hurt them in a way that cannot be undone. The crazy thing is I do not think that will register with you but I pray to God it does, in a way different than you acting above others. They are not beneath the person hurting them just because they are hurt. You have changed the site in a way I don't think you realize as any way but bad
