I really liked your levels. Sucks you said you're not making levels anymore.

Oh, how things change over several years.

Anyway, for anyone who has played this series before/has heard of it/cares, I am going to update some stuff.

TO DO LIST
1. Merge all level posts to the front
2. Add tons of scenery, or at least clean up all previous levels in terms of graphics. (Progress: 0%)
3. ACTUALLY CONTINUE THIS SERIES
4. ACTUALLY FINISH THIS SERIES
5. Add more Bonus Levels along the way.
6. Find that Event Level and post it here since it's been a while, and perhaps make more...

Oh, and sorry for that 2 year+ bump, but this topic is no longer dead to me. :3

A post I made in 2012 was the last one in this topic. I deleted it since I don't want to postcount too much.

College begins in 2 days, and while I couldn't fulfill all of my to-do list, I can at least say I've certainly worked on improving the graphics of some of my levels.

A list of some changes:

-Went back and revamped every level up through the boss of World 4. There should now be virtually no cut-off up to that point, and added some things here and there to make the level more challenging, fix grammatical errors, etc.
-Higher quality images for the first 4 worlds. A small change, but I think it looks better. Mario has different poses for each world too. :P
-Level merging. For now it was just one level: World 3, Episode 5 was merged into Episode 4. It made sense since it was simple to do.
-Changed the name of the series from Paper Mario 64 to Paper Mario 63. Now it can sound like its own thing instead of a blatant rip-off of that game..
-Added more alternate music. I think it gives some levels more life. Check them out!

For an example of some changes, here's some screenshots of World 3, Episode 4:

b) After changes were made!

Finally, a picture of a room I added to World 3, Episode 5 (which is basically a new level altogether after changes)

Well, that's the bulk of what I've been up to. If anyone plays my levels and notices something wrong like the level not working, etc., feel free to post here or PM me about it. Regardless...for anyone who's ever given their time to playing one of my levels over the years, I sincerely thank you. I can't make any promises anymore of if/when updates to this series will happen. But hopefully, one day I can finish Paper Mario 63 once and for all. It holds a special place in my heart.

See you again in another 2+ years. :)

Congrats to a 5-year bump. Look at MP3's levels topic.

Was about to mention the cutoffs but you're already taking care of that.

About level merging: Isn't one level enough for each chapter, or two in case of changing backgrounds? Almost all levels have dimensions such as 90x50 or even 50x50, and if you merge them, you have one larger level of e.g. 500x50, which is a better experience to play than six small levels. I could do that technical stuff or recreating the levels if you can't take the extra work.

I get what you're saying. I've thought about the possibility before. Several things come to mind, though. Sometimes I use the separate levels as an excuse to make certain parts of levels fairly difficult; that way you can just reset the level too. Sure, you could just change Mario's placement...but I feel there are users out there that don't like to take shortcuts and consider it cheating. I might be wrong on that, though. Probably the biggest issue is with items like FLUDD. Take for example that I use Turbo Fludd in the first level of World 1, but it's not accessible afterwards. I'd have to make significant changes to the overall design since using it would likely make some parts too easy. Similar problems would probably appear in a bunch of other levels as well.

Overall, yeah, I think merging them into 1 level for each part is an interesting proposition...but I don't want to burden anyone with something like that, and I think the way I've set up the levels, they work better as their own separate entities. Otherwise the only other thing I can think of is going through each level and determining which levels have absolutely no problems being merged together. But by doing that, it's likely that some worlds end up having 2-3 episodes, while others will have 5 or more. I prefer having the amount of levels consistent (save for World 5 I guess, but I can always merge levels in the future for that too). Thanks for the advice though, Supershroom.
